If you are seeking help that requires something more than a pill to eat and a patronizing pat on the back, please do yourself (and your insurance provider) a favor and keep looking elsewhere.

That, or be well prepared to hear the catch-phrase "Not within the scope of the services that Lifeworks provides"

(which seems to be only a pill and a pat on the back)



They play with diagnosis not based on your condition, but rather what fits their funding criteria so they can keep milking your insurance. And they will revise it at a whim in order to keep themselves looking good to the county.



Clinical staff are clearly overburdened, you'll see it in their eyes. I've gone through several and one thing you'll be able to tell right away is that they can't remember or keep track of what has happened from one session to the next. I've been to two locations (King site and Gresham) and with any insight you'll quickly notice the low morale amongst many of them.



Record keeping is abysmal. Once you see them, you will quickly come to realize that nothing you actually talk about is in them, you may be lucky to find all of a partial sentence for an hours worth of conversation.

What you will find instead is a great deal of context-framing that slants anything you say into a fantasy-land story of what wonderful work they are doing for you, and how supportive and attentive to your needs they have been. Hogwash.



If you are currently a client, I HIGHLY recommend you submit for your complete records and have them reviewed by either the county or third-party professionals!!



Most locations are dilapidated, poor to no maintenance, cigarette butts and trash piling up outside, and just plain eery. About the farthest thing from warm and hospitable as you can get. If you weren't depressed going in, you will be so in leaving...
