Wok N Roll
I've lived in Greensboro quite a few years now, but just getting around to trying Wok and Roll that's near my neighborhood. My first order with them in July 2009 was a delivery one evening after being frustrated with Pizza Hut's online delivery price fiasco. As well, there is always more food available ordering Chinese for $10 than ordering 1 pizza at the same price.
For my first Wok and Roll delivery of fried chicken, egg drop soup and chicken egg foo young with white rice, it took 1 hour and 33 minutes to arrive. This was MUCH longer than the 45 minutes promised. That was frustrating and therefore, no one received a tip. Nevertheless, the food was hot and delicious, with the food packaged well! I love Egg Foo Young passionately and for those who also love this dish, you know the gravy is what makes it. Their gravy definitely made the cut.
On my second tasting of Wok and Roll in late July 2009, I actually ordered take out to see what the place was like. There are 1-2 tables inside, nothing fancy at all, no music playing. It was very hot inside also, as though the A/C was broken but they had a fan blowing hot air. Therefore, I say don't expect to eat there unless the summer heat doesn't bother you. It's really a take out/delivery restaurant.
One other thing I want to note on my first visit to the restaurant is that the cooks do not wear any hair covering. This may matter to some so I thought this was important to mention. Again though, the food tastes the best of any Chinese food restaurant I've had in all of Greensboro, NC. Actually, all of the Triad!
Thanks for reading my review.
