This is by far the best sushi in NC...let alone Greensboro. We travel all over the world and we have yet to find any sushi better than Wasabi. The fish is always fresh (I have seen the owner turn down deliveries because the quality wasn't to his standard), the service is amazing, the combinations are unique and simple and the prices are great.
A lot of sushi places stack their menu with a lot of fried rolls covered in sauces to mask the fish, you won't find that here. I noticed the five star reviews are all people visiting from NY, where they are known to have some of the best sushi in the states.
Go here, you will not be disappointed. I recommend the Ahi Tower (stacks of rice, several kinds of tuna, crab and more- ask for it if it's not on the menu), 007 (tempura shrimp topped with white tuna and a lime-amazing!), Hawaiian (spicy tuna with tuna on top) and if you want regular food...try the Bulgolgi (korean bbq- soooo good!)
Now I'm hungry...I'm going to Wasabi!!!

The menu is absolutely ridiculous. A simple Yakisoba that is fairly easy to make with fair inexpensive prices and a few pieces of meat comes in for a whooping 13 dollars? Really? Don, Down in Tate street, where the people are much nicer and is always pack with people has it for only 7.95. Soda for 2.95? A bowl of rice is 3.25? Just a single bowl of rice... A whole 25 pound bag of rice goes for 15.99. They spend so much money on custom package chopsticks, custom napkins, and other silly useless decor. The place is not even a high class restaurant or is it located in such a area, so the prices tell us that they have VERY FEW customers, in order to compensate they stack up ridiculous prices for ridiculously simple items.

1. Waitress was absolutely rude. 2. She was rushed sounding, and took our order by asking ""What you want?"" 3. Sushi was poorly rolled, tasted bad, and sloppily put on the plate. No presentation whatsoever. 4. Drink tasted like they had soap in them. 5. When I asked if they could take the drinks off the bill, she replied with the fact that we had already drank some of it, and it was now our responsibility to pay for the drinks. (Drinks are $3.50 by the way) 6. When asked to take off one of the sushi rolls, this was our responsibility to pay too. We were either paying for the horrible food and service, or she was going to ""call the police"". 7. When asked to speak to the manager, he proceeded to call me ""f&*%ing stupid"". 8. Because they were scared that we weren't going to pay for the food, they all stood by the door, and one even went outside to sit in her van behind my car, in case we didn't pay. 9. And to top it all off, I spent the rest of the night sick to my stomach with dizzy spills and headache. This was, by far, the absolutely worst restaurant I have ever been to. I know you are reading all the wonderful reviews (we did the same thing, and was amazed by all the compliments), but do not be fooled. They will treat you horrible, and you will get sick. I will be contacting everyone in available reach to try to get justice for the way we were treated.

I've been to most sushi restaurants in Greensboro, and this one is the best so far. The fish was fresh, the menu was large and diverse, and the service was great. This might not be the most popular sushi place in Greensboro, but in my opinion it's the best.
