- General Info
- We at Southern Alterations offer a variety of alteration services to choose from as well as upholstery work. We custom sew, alter, and repair all clothing. We specialize in bridal attire such as making custom corsets and much more. A change , modification or adjustments made to any type of draperies and home décor is also on our list. From replacing zippers to sewing Harley patches on your leather coats, we do it all. Our goal is to make a change that does not affect the basic character of the item being altered. When it leaves our shop it looks like it is brand new. There is never nothing left undone. We take pride in making our customers satisfied and we are thankful for their business.

When I first tried on my wedding gown I didnt realize how much work it needed before my big day. I took my dress to Southern Alterations for a fitting and Cookie explained everything that needed to be done. My zipper was broke, it needed to be taken in several inches and hemmed. Cookie did a great job. After she was done she gave me a perfect hour glass shape. I was absolutely gorgeous in my dress. I got so many compliments. And most of all the price was just right. Affordable and professional. I would highly recommend anyone who needs alterations to try Southern Alterations. You will not be disappointed.
K la V, ,, gave our business a bad review because that's what people do when they do not get their way. She tried to walk out of our shop without paying. It's a shame when people can get on the internet and just make up lies about a business to ruin their reputation. But as you can tell i have great reviews and great customers...people who wanna play games and make up false review's karma will take care of u.
Cookie is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Southern Alrerations for anybody. I ordered a white ballgown dress for my cotillion from Davids Bridal that was a size 8, when I'm actually a size 0. I went to so many alteration stores in Greensboro, NC for an estimate to take up the dress and they all estimated about $300.00 and more. When I went to Southern Alterations, Cookie greeted me with so much warmth. I really enjoyed her company. She told me her estimated price was $160.00. For someone who is on a really tight budget, I knew this was a blessing from God. She removed the zipper and added a beautiful corset and added the straps too. She even put the dress in a dress bag for me to carry it in. On the day of the cotillion, she even drove to the Sheraton Hotel to help me put on the ballgown dress. She is truly an angel! I will continue to go back to her.
My alterations from Southern Alterations have been great. Friendly staff, good pricing, and excellent alteration work. Originally I lost a little weight and needed my pants taken in. The pants came back great so I decided to have a few more clothes done. I am now a regular customer and really appreciate the quality service and the professional “attention-to-detail” factor that is put into every article of clothing that I bring. Southern Alterations is my go-to alteration spot.
Cookie was fabulous to work with and the chairs she reupholstered turned out great! She was easy to communicate with and made sure I was 100% satisfied with her work. I would definitely recommend her services and plan to use her again!

This lady done a amazing job on repairing my 2003 mobius lsv wakeboard interior! At a great price! She will be the only one touching my interior for my boat! I love it can't wait to spend all summer wakeboarding thanks to you guys!

The owner of Southern Alterations is very professional, friendly and you can tell she has several years of experience. I have taken several suits to her that needed to be fitted to my frame and I am satisfied with each one. Her prices are very affordable compared to other alteration shops in the area. I will not let anyone else do my alterations!
