The exact same thing happened to me. I explained to Mr. Necota and his staff member that when I canceled my insurance, I thought I was paid up for the following month. I was not. Therefore I had a month lapse in insurance and have to pay fines to DMV. I never had this happen before. Never a lapse in insurance. I have been with State Farm for 10 years. The least that should have happened is to communicate with not just your loyal customers, but all of your customers. Ask if your new insurance lines up with your cancellation. We want to be sure your covered. Thank you for your years of business (No I did not get a thank that either until I brought it up).
I want to add since I am here. I live in a townhouse community. Last year a pipe burst in my neighbor’s townhouse. We both had State Farm. But State Farm made me open my own claim, pay the deductible which caused my premium to go up over $100.00 the next year. It was by no fault of my own that my neighbor’s pipe burst.
