- Little John's Tattoo has evolved over the years. John eventually he found his way to Greensboro, where he co-founded Carolina Tattoo. John had a lot to do with making Tattooing a legal practice in Greensboro. He later opened Little John's Infinite Art onLee Street. Expansion led to Little John's Tattoo--the two current locations on Aycock Street and Battleground Avenue. We have housed many tattoo artists and piercers over the years, and launched several careers for upcoming talent.
I came here with my girlfriend, aunt and her cousin because clearly he wanted a tattoo. From the moment we walked in the heavyset woman at the front desk had a attitude problem. She was pretty short and seemed like she had better things to do. The tattooists however seem very personable and knowledgeable about their craft. We came to the conclusion that she is racist. It's the only knowledgeable explanation one could come up with after noticing how she interacted with people who have white skin as she does. Just for a reference I am black and they are of Spanish decent. I'm not sure if she is always like that or maybe just having an off day but if you're the first contact of any establishment you may want to work on your customer service/interpersonal skills.
I just got my septum pierced today, and I love it! it was my first major piercing (aside from the obvious ear piercings). Other reviews said that little john's tattoo had bad customer service but i didn't experience that at all. Tuna pierced me with no problem and he was super nice and helpful. I'd come back in a heartbeat if I ever get anything else done.
they have the best selection of artists. a lot of shops are snobby and tell u they won't do this or that, or they're not interested in working with u cause of their large egos. not this shop, u can get any kind of tattoo you want. they will try to help u get what u want, and make artistic suggestions so you end up with a nice piece.
the piercing department looks good too, even tho i'm more into tattoos i have heard good things about their piercers.
some people say they are expensive, but u get what u pay for in my opinion. quality work. the prices are comparable to a larger city, and i think the work is better.
good job guys.
