I come all the way from Randolph County to this store. If you take your time & look you can find some great clothing for women. Now their children & men clothing isn't all that great. I still love this store more than any thrift store I've been to & my family are big thrifters. Only problem i have is some of the staff can be a bit rude at times, one woman.
This is my favorite thrift store. If you have time to look you will find many useful and nice things. Prices are reasonable in my opinion, and if you go on Mondays/holiday sales you can snag what you need for half price. I'm there often and the employees are friendly and helpful. If I understand correctly a percentage of profits does go back to the Vietnam Vets.

I can tell you for sure that they dont support the Vietnam Veterans or anybody else except for the owners (who are millionaires). It is false advertising at a terrible expense. People think they are helping Vets and they are not. Im am all for somebody owning a store but dont lie to people and tell them that they are helping veterans by donating things. Please somebody stop them from lying to everyone..

People think that when they donate to Carolina Thrift, and the same goes for Value Village, that they are a non profit. They are NOT non profit, they are FOR Profit. They partner with community non profits to get the goods on the cheap, then resell them for profit. Not quite the same as giving to Salvation Army or Goodwill. They still help by giving jobs to people who are in need, but please keep in mind that this company is for profit and if you want to do something to improve customer service, you need to complain ........

This store has now moved to a new location on W. Wendover Ave. It is still a large store with tons to look at, but it definitely has its drawbacks. The best things are the tag sales on different days and (almost) everything is half off on Mondays, BUT a lot of the items are terribly over-priced and do not go on sale. Also, the staff is generally unfriendly so don't ask anyone for help because they can't do anything about anything. And make sure that there is a price tag on everything you want because if not they will take it away and no matter what you do they will not sell it to you. They have a strange policy about that, unlike other thrift stores, and there is no manager there to answer a simple question.
Don't expect ANY customer service--and if you have a question/issue DO expect ridiculous policies. You can find good deals but it is what it is--a poorly run business. Even though it's a thrift store they're still a business, and they've just lost a loyal customer like myself.
