I entered the side door to be greeted and cheerfully said hello to by a very beautiful blue eyed cashier. While I made my way to her register I listened to her explain to a very elderly man the items on the whataburger. he proceeded to tell her what he did not want on it. she started pressing buttons. she repeated the description back to him. he again repeated what he did not want on it. she assured him that those items would not be on the burger. she collected the money and gave him his change back. she immediately smiled and said that his order would be out in a few moments. I stepped up to her and again she smiled and asked what i would like and told me of the new burger she had. i placed my order. she asked if i wanted a desert. i gave her my money and she gave the change. she told me it would be a few moments. there weren't anymore customers behind me. when she stepped away from the register i saw that she was VERY MUCH indeed ready to have a baby. She turned and went to the fry station. I asked her if I could get Hot Fries, again she flashed a very bright smile and said" Sure, No problem". The problem I saw was her bending down and to her wonderment--NO FRIES!!... she immediately assured me that she would get some and be right back.. To her dismay she found out there wasn't anymore. the manager Ellen came and apologized to me said they were waiting on some more.I was comped with a small shake. while i waiting on my burger.. there came an employee with what i found out to be fries. my order came up and i started to eat my burger-- while it was hot, fresh and everything i had imagined it to be.. Delora came and gave me my medium- upsized to large fries and proceeded to tell me that she was sorry for the extra wait. she even took some trash that i had on the table-non-whataburger related and asked me if i would like anything else. I told her no. she went back to her register and continued her duties. The manager came and asked if I had received the fries and apologized to me.I told her it was no problem that I wasn't in a hurry and besides Delora had very much helped me and made me feel so welcome and at ease. I am a VERY picky eater and I DO NOT like to wait. I wasn't in a very good mood. I had just had a fender-bender not 30 minutes ago and while pulling in the restaurant, which I going thru the drive-thru, my tire went on flat, so hence the reason I came into the restaurant that day.. I am so thankful I did.. Thanks to Delora and Whataburger I left there with a smile and a very full belly.. I have since then made it a habit to come in to there. It took me a couple of trips before I could find out that Delora had her baby and had taken time off.. This is very disappointing..since there has been no one that has smiled as much or as beautifully and does not give that sincere helpfullness.. I have witnessed many employees and none of them compare to her warmth and genuine friendliness I felt that day... I have talked to other customers and they also remember her and would LOVE to see her back again.. So dear manager at 4545 NW Freeway, Houston, Texas 77022. please get Delora back as an employee.. On April 17, 2008 I visited the Whatabuger store#723 at about 9:58am, I was order 196. The manger of the store at this time is one who I have seen there before; I believe her name is Sandra. Under this manger I have receive excellent service. Each time I enter there is not any waiting around to place my order, the food is served hot in a timely manner and the service is crutious. I mention this because there are other times when I have gone to this very same store and have received bad service. For example, my previous visit at this store I had to wait to place my order. When I was served the young lady sought of throw the bag on the counter then turn to walk away. Now, when I enter this store I first look to see who the manger is before either ordering or going next door to jack-in-box. This manger should be commended for her efforts.
I have been going to this location for quite a while now but it sems lately that it's lacking. Before they would load you up on rice, beans and meat, but now you always have to ask for more. I don't know if the corporate machine is cracking down on them for profit losses due to putting more than ample fillers in but it's really getting me upset. I could always order ahead of time and know that I would get plenty in the burritos and bowls but now I have to wait in line and order in the resturant to ensure that they aren't skimping on me. What a shame.
One of your store managers should be commended. On 2/22/08 at 4:30 PM at your 10680 Hammerly Blvd., Houston, TX location, Vincinte reacted immediately when I pointed out to him an overflowing trash can at the exit of the facility. He thanked me and promptly walked over to empty it before I left the location. Such response is quite unusual and I think you should be aware of the highly commendable work ethics of one of your employees. I asked for his name and position as I was leaving. This was my first time eating breakfast at Jack in the Box, and I was unfamiliar with the menu and the cashier was very helpful in explaining the breakfast menu to me in detail along with some personal suggestions. Once I ordered the food it came quickly and accuarte but also tasted very good, without spending alot of money. Jack in the Box was also good because it gave me the option breakfast or lunch without any catches......
Wow! Your review really made you seem ignorant. McDonald's is a good employer and if you don't like the way that specific location is run then the solution is simple........don't go there. There is really no need to be so rude. As you may know the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA does not have an official language and since you do live in the houston area why don't you learn some spanish and better adapt?

On the rare occasion there is a mistake, just call and the manager will fix it/make it up to you. I go here nearly every night (min of 4 times a week) and have been really pleased with the new people for months now :-)
This place is always busy and sometimes the line for the drive thru is pretty long but the service is very quick and the food hot. Unlike other drive thru lines, I have never been asked to pull up and wait for someone to bring my order out. The prices may be a little higher than at other fast food places but I think it's worth it - the food and service are great.
The food is REALLY good, price is very affordable, BIG portions, and drive thru service is very nice about giving extra Sweet and sour sauce.. not stingy with it. Will definbitely go again and have written company to PLEASE start delivering to apartments... not just catering. Also requesting Panda store on their site !!
Great store - I go there apx 3-4 times a week. They all speak perfect english! They are great at accommodating my picky nature and they do it with a smile. Their tea is always fresh unlike the westheimer store. I go out of my way to this location because of the great service and fresh tea!
