Oral Cancer Screening

Teeth Cleaning
You may think that if you aren’t experiencing any dental issues you don’t need a professional cleaning. However, at Parc Village Dental we recommend every patient visit our office at least twice a year for a teeth cleaning appointment to ensure your dental health. During a routine cleaning we remove any plaque and tartar from the teeth and also check for signs of cavities, gum disease and oral cancer. We will also perform any needed x-rays at these appointments.
Dental Sealants
Sealants are plastic coatings that are used to protect vulnerable teeth from decay. Sealants are especially helpful for children during the cavity prone years, although they can be useful for patients of all ages.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Placed. Not only are silver fillings noticeable in the smile, but they also weaken the remaining tooth structure. That’s why our practice offers tooth-colored fillings. These fillings are made out of a composite resin material that is selected to match the shade of your tooth. In addition, the strength and integrity of the remaining tooth structure is increased. These restorations blend in and are undetectable in your smile.
Veneers
Unlike a crown, which covers the entire tooth, a veneer is a thin porcelain covering that is placed over the front and biting edge of the tooth. Veneers are a treatment option for front teeth that may be discolored, misshapen or slightly cracked. They may also be placed to close spaces that exist between the front teeth. A minimal amount of tooth structure is removed for the proper fabrication of the veneers. They are then bonded in place to achieve the desired changes.
Crowns
In cases where a large cavity or large failing filling is present, or after root canal treatment, we will recommend a crown to restore the tooth. A crown is a “cap" that is placed over the tooth to improve its strength and appearance. Each crown is custom created to blend in seamlessly with your smile.

Dental Bonding
In some cases, all a tooth needs is a bit of reshaping to noticeably improve the appearance of your smile. During a cosmetic contouring treatment, we remove very small amounts of the tooth to alter the shape, contour or length. This procedure is often used along with dental bonding.

Root Canal Treatment
When your tooth develops an infection that reaches the nerve a root canal procedure may become necessary. During a root canal, one of our doctors will remove the infected nerve tissue and then disinfect the inside of the tooth to ensure that no harmful bacteria remains. The inside is then sealed with an inert filling material. At completion, the tooth is then crowned to restore the tooth’s strength and appearance.

In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hein and his wife, Janet reside in De Pere.
