Overall
Quality of work issue pending

This is a review that will encompass a follow-up depending on how things go when confronting the owner in 2 days (because he wasn't avail when picking up the merch).

Took 2 pistol slides to Gus's Guns in Green Bay to have after- market sights (Meprolights) put on. Work was done in a day, so I picked them up the following day on 26 March 2011. I inspected the sights in the store and they looked as though they were applied ok.

When I got home, I noticed right away that both slides had minor damage that involved chipping on various portions of the slide(s). I immediately called and ask for the gentleman/owner who did the work but was told that he would not be available until the following Monday.

No, I didn't sign a release form of any kind prior to the work, nor did they offer one. I didn't think of it at the time. I did asked the gentleman on the phone what type of policy they had if any damages occurred to personal firearms during repairs. His answer was not good! "We normally don't have problems when making repairs and I'm not aware of company policy regarding damages to personal firearm repairs," he replied.

However, I'm hoping the owner will make things right when I speak with him, which is why a followup review is necessary. It can/will serve as either a warning or a thumbs up review. It will depend on the owner's decision and/or effort to make the situation better.
