We took the whole extended family out to dinner on the day after Thanksgiving--one teen, one young adult, four adults, and one senior. Everyone, even my vegetarian daughter, found food they just loved. The steaks were flavorful and tender--first rate. The tuna was done to perfection, and the portion generous for ahi. The mac and cheese was rich and delicious. Plae Bistro has a risotto of the day, which may be why we decided to try this place. Tonight's was garlic and asiago, and was creamy with subtle layers of flavor. The wine list was a little bit short but the choices were more than adequate. The desserts are offered on a tray, but were just average. The atmosphere was upscale but very comfortable, and we could hear one another easily. This was a great evening, and we will go back!
This restaurant has a great variety of quality foods and wines as well as customer service. When we were there for our anniversary, we had 13 people with us and they didn't have a problem seating us or taking care of us with both our food and drinks. The food was all served at the same time, and hot. We ordered varied dishes- from the grouper to the bison burger. All were excellent. A few wondered how they had done the bison so well, because other bison burgers they had in the past were usually very dry. These were great and they said they would order them again. We will be back along with the others from our group, who had tried it for the first time. Thanks Plae for making our anniversary very nice.
On a friends' suggestion, we ventured in and had lunch... Wow! Speaking from a world traveler point of view by far the best vegetarian egg plant sandwich EVER! I highly suggest you go and try this little bistro. I am told the apple pear and salmon salad is beyond wonderful! On the next visit!! 5 stars for excellent food atmosphere and friendly service!
