Granite City Head Start

My daughter was enrolled at the cleveland address . Everything. Was going well untill my daughter up untill the end of the school year the school is unclean i seen overflowing trash cans and my daughter was constantly sick due to other parents sending there kids to school sick. The caseworkers are friendly but they ask a million and one questions you may as well bleed on the paper and if you dont do sonething they recommend for your child they will report you to dcfs as far as im concerned thats considered harassment . My chuld is well taken care of and i have never had any complaints from any other office or doctors fascilities that she has been too. I switched my childs school hopefully she will have a better year without someone. Breathing down her neck. She also missed out on a year and half qorth of physical therapy due to some waiting list .

Head Starts throughout the United States are federally funded through grants.



NO child is unable to apply under 5 years of age..

I recommend this FREE program to any child under the age of 5 years. Head Start has an excellent curriculum and higher standards than the adverage preschool program . This program serves a home base program for children under the age of three and is resourceful! This program also provides Free transportation, two meals,fieldtrips and no other school supply fees.

Parents are encouraged to be involved and have a large voice on their childs goals at Head Start! Parents do NOT need appointments to enter the classroom and this program offers an open door to any parent to help promote developmental diversity.

This program sets the center stage for our future generation entering the kindergarten classroom. Head Start makes a difference to each family that enters the classroom.

I have been with the "home base" program supplied by headstart, and i was given a Representative that showed up only 3 times within a 9 week span, with the constant excuses of "I'm sick" or "I'm busy" or the latest one "My boss called us off early today". Not just that, but the few times that the Representative has been to my house, even in the presence of other therapists, she has displayed inappropriate and rude conduct with her poor attitude, and I am quite frankly not satisfied with this program, nor would i suggest it to anyone. Under the circumstances that this headstart home base person has put me though, even to the point of harassing me on the phone and "Automatically trying to drop me from the program" without my saying, I have been shockingly nice. As it stands, I am sure that the headstart company in itself has good intentions, but as it stands with what I have experienced, I am even ashamed to give this place even "1" star for a rating.
