David A. Younger clerked for the firm one summer during law school, returned to his home in Western Colorado and joined the firm full-time in 1983. Dave assists individuals and businesses with planning and problems – including when the problems land in court. His courtroom work is wide-ranging, with trials and appeals in business disputes, life-changing personal injuries, estate administration, construction defects, evictions, guardianships and adoptions. He provides mediation and arbitration services through Resolve Mediation & Dispute Resolution. Outside the courtroom, Dave assists clients with business and real estate purchases and sales, estate planning, creating new business entities and obtaining federal income tax exemptions. He appreciates working with talented lawyers at the firm and often calls on them for their expertise in serving our clients.

Leah joined the firm in 2023, after seventeen years of managing a solo practice. John has extensive experience in real estate transactional matters, including due diligence, title review, conveyance and leasing of real estate, water rights and easements, and real estate development. John’s practice involves health law, including representation of managed care entities, employers and health care providers. In particular, John has extensive experience in member contracting, mandated benefits and regulatory compliance, health savings accounts, and self-funded health benefits. David M. Scanga is managing shareholder of the firm. He has been with the firm since 1983 and a shareholder since 1988. He has worked in this area of law since beginning practice with the firm. David has represented clients before regulatory bodies and courts in the health law area. Real Estate Litigation
Jack T. Pryzgoda joined the firm in 2019 and practices from our Grand Junction office. Jack’s primary area of practice is civil litigation. He also frequently works on real estate matters and with creditors to protect their rights. During law school, Jack served as a staff member for the Wyoming Law Review and interned with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
Construction Litigation
Michael J. Russell has litigated complex commercial cases involving diverse areas, including construction disputes, antitrust and contracts over his 28 years of law practice at Hoskin Farina & Kampf. Mr. Russell also has an active practice handling transactions on behalf of clients. Mr. Russell is engaged in all areas of commercial and civil practice, involving transactions including real estate, land use development, financing, asset purchase and stock purchase transactions. Mr. Russell's practice also includes a wide variety of commercial litigation, including collections, construction law and contract enforcement cases.
