If you're traveling the 101 and looking for authentic local cuisine, take the 5th Street exit in Gonzales (by the water tower) and stop by Bonilla. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior: the tacqueria in this supermarket is amazing. For around five dollars, you get a burrito made with fresh meat from the store's meat counter. Everyone who works here is very friendly and eager to please.
