Not having been to Giordano's in many years on Rush Street, I thought I'd play the game to get there on my visit in August 2009. Luckily, like you, I read a lot on the web about the restaurant in this day, parking, coupons and anything else I could find about "the expe...morerience." I found a site that has 3 useful coupons, one of which I used, when ordering my Giordano's pizza on Rush Street. (You may find the coupons here: http://www.hotcoupons.com/cgi-shl/cook/display?rn=2610144&mkt=US%28IL%28CHI%2814%29CSW%2800%29%29%29&fgs=1Abcdefghl&id=IO478B254072943&pid=HC&pfst=N) Here's how I played the game to get the experience, and this may help you too: I rode around on a Saturday afternoon near the restaurant until I found a park and pay spot right in front of Giordano's. My friend sat in the car and waited while I put our name on the list for dine in. I was advised it would be about 1 hour and 15 mins for two people. I took a menu out to the car, we decided on our meal, and 25 minutes later (as the restaurant staff advised), I went in to order our meal at the pre-order counter. You do not pay at this time, only order, and you have to wait 25 min to make the order. I then went back to the car and waited. I had not paid for parking yet, as there is a 2 hour parking limit. The pre-order was a smart move I learned from someone on another web site and it proved extremely helpful. If you put yourself on a waiting list for dine in and do not pre-order, you are certain to wait, on a busy day, 1 hour for your pizza after being seated. When our name was called (the announcements could be heard outside), my friend then paid 1 hour for our parking. We got seated and ordered beverages. I found it nice that if you were called and did not hear the first time, you'll be called again and you'll get a "last call" as a final measure to get you in. We gave the pre-order slip to the waitress and it actually took around 15 min to get the pizza, although we had pre-ordered it much earlier. So, even though you'd think the pizza should have been immediately ready after all of the wait and pre-order, it was not. But, 15 mins of waiting was not bad given that it would have been an hour without doing the pre-order. The waitress was not miss personality, but hey, we were more there for the food. The pizza, as expected, was delicious and hot! The coupon gave us a few dollars off which made it a decently priced meal for two. Thanks for reading my review. view less

My review is a without a shadow of a doubt one. I used to eat this pizza when I was a little boy growing up whether it be at Grammar school, High school or a sleep over. I grew up on North ave. and Long and either it was Victors, Guys, or Congress and Congre...moress reign supreme over all so I know what it tastes like I just found out that they deliver to my new neighborhood in the Austin area so I'm about to introduce them to some pie lovers that haven't tried them yet. They really need to work on their website so can be easier to place and order especially when you don't have a menu handy. I'll have to wait to rate them once I order I havent eaten from here in over ten years and their still bangin out pizzas I here just like they used to so I cant wait click back in on their rating tomorrow when I rate the Austin areas number one pizzaria. I've ordered from Botellos quite a few times, and their food is very good. The Rigatoni Tuscani is my favorite. It has a little kick to it, but just enough. I don't like spicy foods, but it's mild enough for me. Their eggplant parmesan and pizza are also really good, as well...more as the delivery service and friendliness of the employees. I used to get their chicken salad but stopped because the price went up and the amount of salad went down. Big mistake. How much does lettuce cost anyway?! No need to skimp on lettuce when you're now charging $8.50. Sorry, but unless you're giving me 2 heads of lettuce and 2 chicken breasts you can keep your salad. I give this place 4 stars. It would have been 5 if not for the $8.50 salad...wow that's a lot of dough for some lettuce and chicken.view less
