Some Businesses are started because an Entrepreneur comes up with a great idea and then some businesses are started from necessity and just trying to make other people's lives easier. This business is of the later. Hi I am Mark Horton and a few years ago my father past from at the early age of 76. It was a stressful time not only was the man who I loved dearly now gone from this world, I was confronted with the task of cleaning out his estate. Over the next 4 months I would travel from Miami Florida to Baltimore, Maryland every other week working to get my father's home cleaned out. This would require multiple airfares, car rentals, eating out day and night; yes, the expenses were piling up. My back was sore and I didn't know what I was doing. It was emotionally draining wanting to hold on to almost everything. I had nowhere to keep this old stuff and all I would have been doing would be moving it from his house to collect dust at my house. Many, many thousand dollars later I had it done. But the house needed cleaning and fixing in order to sell. I needed a low cost way to get the house ready to be sold at top dollar. This required even more time. Fixing, Cleaning, Painting and bring the house to code. Finally, the house was ready, several more thousand dollars later, a lot of lost wages and a sore back. There must be a better way? A more cost effective way? An easy way that the surviving family members could afford and that would eliminate so much stress? Ultimately, a company that would allow consumers like you to get a great "Return On Investment" from ECS removing your trash, Junk, cleaning the home, repair minor things, professional painting, new flooring and assistance with finding a great Realtor.
In 2013 I worked at My Father Cigars and the company was celebrating its 10th anniversary. This party was to be held at the company's warehouse, which had no air-conditioning, had a ramp, was big but was simply a warehouse, not a party space. We had about 250 guests, from VIPs, important clients, family, friends, etc and everything needed to be impeccable and exquisite. I emailed, called, and met with a few planners but they didn't really understand the concept, they didn't understand that people needed to be able to smoke cigar (the reason it was being held at the warehouse), and that although we had a healthy budget, we needed someone to help us manage it and put the money where it was best. From the moment Grisel and Pupi walked in, myself and my bosses at the time, knew we had found our match. From the first meeting to every meeting after that, there was full attention to every single detail, with maps to show where everything would be. They listened to everything we needed, wanted, and surpassed all those requests. They piped and draped the place, air conditioned the space, leveled the ramp, and transformed the place to the point that guests who had been there before where asking what part of the building they were in. Their staff, valet, dj, etc were amazing. Their food was delicious, the coffee station was the perfect compliment to the cigars, and the famous palm tree was an absolute hit. Thank you so much to this company, Grisel & Pupi, and their staff for an unforgettable and perfect celebration. I highly recommend them to take care of any of your events!
During a recent convention weekend, Miami prices were driven up astronomically. My South Beach hotel tripled from a previous rate and mediocre properties were charging well in excess of $100. Given some of the reviews, I was hesitant to try the Miami Sun but couldn't resist the $60 rate. I found the accommodations to be acceptable and even stayed two nights. Don't expect much, but the bed was fine, the a/c worked well and it was fairly quiet. Wi-fi worked perfectly in my third floor room. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to give advice on attractions and transportation. When you arrive it does have the slight appearance of a transient hotel but once settled in, that impression went away. It is a darker, quieter area of downtown, but is easily accessible to restaurants, shops and on close to major public transit routes. The only huge complaint I have is that the shower was either scalding hot or cold, making for a challenging shower. If you are on a budget and other hotels are significantly pricier, I would recommend the Miami Sun for a very basic choice.
