As a transplant from the East Coast, I've found few local Italian eateries whose fare tastes authentic to me. How delighted I was to discover Two Guys From Italy! I went there with my small granddaughter early on a week night when few other customers were in sight. She initially protested my choice of cuisine, lamenting "but I don't like Italian food." We were seated promptly and treated graciously by a delightful young server. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs (my most fearsome test for Italian restaurants) and my granddaughter ordered a personal pizza. We both loved our food. My spaghetti's sauce reminded me of that cooked by the new Italian immigrants in my old neighborhood, and my meatballs were very nicely seasoned and had a great texture. My granddaughter inhaled her pizza, and several bites of my salad, after devouring the Italian bread and olive oil served while we awaited our meals. If I had my way, I would triple the size of Two Guys, and remove the sports television entertainment from the dining area. However, the food is delicious enough, and the prices reasonable enough, to keep me coming back despite such distractions. If you love Italian, try this place!
I've been to this CPK many, many times with co-workers and cannot believe that I have not posted a review for it yet. But I'm glad I waited until now to do so, as my latest experience there - the service, the food and all - was great. On this visit, there were in our party. We were seated quickly and water and drink orders were taken promptly. Our server was very pleasant, funny without being annoying, and had a really nice personality. We put in and received our food orders relatively quickly. There was one mix-up with the wrong dish being brought to the table, but it was resolved within a minute. Our party ordered a variety of pizzas and pastas, and I had the new steak tacos - an odd choice given the usual CPK fare, but I must say that these tacos are very, very tasty! Not only was our server and the bus staff attentive, but we were also waited on by what appeared to be a manager as well, who ensured that we had everything needed to enjoy a great meal. This is a favorite spot for our work crew, so we're sure to visit again and again.
Stopped by here yesterday because I was too tired after work to cook and so glad I did! The outside looks a little divey but the inside is clean and rustic. Service was attentive and kind and the food was amazing! Had the chicken marsala and it was flavorful and good portions. The garlic bread they have reminds me of what my mom used to make. Got a bottle of wine for $22 and walked all the way home! Will definitely try delivery next time too. Great little spot. Might even hangout by the bar next time.
