  Stayed here once before (before it was purchased by Patels) and it was nice. This is no longer the case. After a death in our family, we purchased 2 rooms at 3 am. By 10:15 am, we were outta there! Had plans to stay 3 or 4 days, but no way! As I was trying to fall asleep, something ran across me. When I got up in the morning, I stepped on a cockroach. Missing tile in the bathroom and just an overall sense of dirtyness. In the other room we rented, the doorknob was falling off the bathroom door. The carpet in my room felt damp and with no baseboards around the room, you could see the filth between the carpet and walls. Went down at 9:35 to get the kids' doughnuts but they stopped serving at 9:30. Who does that??? The lady behind the desk told me she just put everything away. I guess it would have been too hard to grab 3 doughnuts out of the refridgerator for us! Upon checkout, I told the manager about the bugs and how we couldn't stay and how unhappy we were. He waited until all the charges were complete before appologizing. He said they spray once a month and had 2 days prior and sometimes the roaches come out and die at that point. I told him I understood, but did not have the patience to put up with that for 3 or 4 days when we had so many other things to deal with. I was a bit worried we would end up taking a few critters home with us too. He never offered to reduce our rate. We left and went to the Dexter Inn, which was a good choice. They are very clean (although smoking is allowed, so hallways smell of smoke). They serve doughnuts until 11 am and have fresh coffee 24/7.
