Chariot Inn

The room was clean (my 7 year old daughter even made me take a black light flash light she has to be 100% sure there are no bed bugs -- which there was no sign of and everything else looked good too). I was there for a week, and it was quiet the whole time, even though it appeared to be at almost full occupancy.

We had reserved two nights at the Omni Hotel Downtown Los Angeles - an Internet special. We'd stayed there before, so it wasn't anything exciting, just convenient. However, I was shocked at the $30/night valet parking fee, which certainly ate up the Internet special. So, we checked out the next day and proceeded to find another place. We found Chariot Inn in Glendale through a Blackberry search. A motor inn, looks like many motels you see along Los Angeles streets. But it met our needs perfectly. Yes, as the YELP reviewer said, the lobby/check-in desk had the sweet subtle smell of curry, and the Indian-American hosts were gracious, gentle, and welcoming. The room was immaculately clean. Our sleep was quiet and solid. Best of all, we paid 1/2 what we paid for the Omni.

Room was large and clean and neighborhood seemed ok. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked well.

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman at the front desk, he got us checked in fast. Our room was clean and basic, no frills. A fridge and microwave were available for use as well as an iron and a blow dryer. The TV was a nice size, and had a decent selection of channels to watch

Had a very pleasant stay here. Friendly young man at the front desk. I'm not an early riser so I missed out on breakfast, so no opinion. Place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would happily stay here again.

Stayed here for a couple nights while visiting family in the area. Quiet location despite being on a main street, just a few blocks from the Galleria. Older building that could use some cosmetic updating in the rooms. But it was clean and beds were comfortable. Limited parking (one vehicle per room) could be an issue, but we had a space every night the hotel was full. Modest breakfast-coffee, rolls, cereal--but friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

The manager was exceptionally helpful. Although the rooms are of modest quality real thought went in to making them nice to stay in. Clean rooms, plenty of plugs, a good desk and chair for using the internet, a good shower and comfortable bed. Our stay of three nights was due to needing to evacuate our home due to fires in the area.

Nice room, nice location, decent price for the area. The folks go out of their way to be friendly! They're very nice and make you feel welcome.

Friendly staff,off street parking, near food places. Comfortable setting and quiet. No problems with anything serious. Made me feel welcome and check in was very easy. Did not mind giving me an extra key card when I locked myself out of my room. Good for short trips like mine and very safe.

friendly and clean hotel in Glendale; 30 min from Six Flags Magic Mountain, 30 min from Hollywood or Venice Beach

It was a convenient location to all our planned activities. Only slept in the room.

Staff is very nice. I asked for extra towels and they were given with no hesitation. Location is quiet.

Friendly staff; the room was very large & clean; there was free on-site parking, which is definitely a plus in L.A.

Our room which was at the far end from the main street was quiet. Don't expect views though! Great location for access to downtown, Pasadena.
