OMG crabs

I have only found crabs in 1 other place better then here, Mom's house! Service has always been great. The parking lot in a lot caotic, with not a lot of parking and not a lot of room to manuver. But we didn't come there for the parking we came there for the crabs and the crabs were great. We go about 3 to 4 time a month and are happy everytime we walk away!

Fresh Seafood and Great Prices

My wife and I along with two close friends visit the restaurant several times per month, the steamed crabs are great along with other seafood. We find that the staff ,is exceptional and attentive and ensure that our visit is a good one. One might also try the house salad, it is a large salad that is extremly fresh. A big thumbs up!

My husband and I recently tried this restaurant based on the good reviews of the food. It was awful! The restaurant was so gross it made me sick to my stomach. Health inspectors need to be alerted! The walls were covered with drips and specks of food!! The carpet was covered with trash and it smelled! We ordered our food but barley touched it and asked for the bill immediately. Even my plastic glass of water had something floating in it! I would NOT recommend this place no matter how good the food supposedly is.

I live in Connecticut and whenever I visit MD I always eat crabs it is a must. I have tried crabs from, Crisfield, Baltimore, Upper Hill, DE and many other cities in MD but OMG when I tasted the crabs from Seaside that was it for me. THEY SIMPLY ARE THE BEST. I will travel to Seaside before I reach my destination , the phone number is on speed dial in my phone, even if it is out of the way just to eat thier crabs. I am on the committee for our family reunion this year in July 2008 which we are hosting in Hartford, CT We are planning on ordering our crabs from Seaside for our meet & greet seafood fest.

The reviews for this restaurant were pretty good on Citysearch, so my friends and I went there today ; however, I had to say that this is the restaurant with the worst service attitude.\r \r First, they made us wait for an hour and 20 mins. They told us there would be less than an hour; after we have waited for an hour, they said it would be an hour and plus. OK., so we still waited there. And whenever we asked how long will we wait, the waitress said they didn't know and couldn't estimate. When they told us that they are cleaning the table for us, it turned out that some other waitress gave out our table to another party and the waitress didn't come out to explain to us until we asked again !!! \r \r I have to say that they have a real bad table arrangement and bad sense of timing in serving their customers.\r \r Second, when we made complaints, they didn't show any sincere apologies, not even the manager. They just said that they had no idea when the next table would be ready and even told us that some customers had waited for 1 hour and 40 mins-----we are not competing for who has the most patience. We are here to be served with nice service. Let me say that, if a restaurant doesn't know how to give waiting customers a close estimation of waiting time and couldn't arrange the table sufficiently, it has a real bad management issue!!! \r \r The receptionists were very rude, and they sticked to a very stubborn table arrangement policy and inflexibility. Isn't making customers happy your ultimate goal? Apparently not, they seemed to be too proud of their restaurant and didn't bother to care if a small group of customers (with an infant and a toddler) were not happy to wait for an hour and 20 mins!!!! \r \r \r

Best crabs in the Baltimore Metro area!

I love the Seaside Restaurant in Glen Burnie, MD for their excellent crabs, hush puppies, iced tea, and hot apple pie dessert! This beats any Baltimore restaurant and has a down home feel. Get ready for a packed and loud restaurant. Excellent service - always on top of their game and friendly. I also like that they are honest about their crabs -""they're heavy tonight or running a little light."" Rarely do they run light though.

I've tried hundreds of seafood restaurants, and you won't find better crab cakes anywhere! Service is great and personable. I hear they have the best hard shelled crabs in the Baltimore area, so I will have to try them next time. Unfortunately I ate there during the week for lunch- not a good time to dive into a table full of old bay...

I have been going to this restaurant since they opened. My dad is friends with the owners of the carryout. I have never had a bad experience. Yes the parking is a little hectic, but what's a little exercise gonna hurt. Their crabs are to die and the cream of crab soup is so yummy! I don't think anyone is going to find a better joint than seaside!

I love this resturaunt. I have never had a bad experience. Their seafood is NEVER overdone(which can be a problem at some other places I have been to only once, of course), the service is always great.. the only downfall is the tiny little parking lot.. there is street parking available if you are lucky. Great place to stop by for lunch though, when parking isn't usually a problem and service is very fast.
