I found the truck I wanted on the internet and went to Maxwell Dodge to purchase it. We talked and they said they could get it for me (dealer trade from somewhere) at invoice minus rebates ($1000) and I agreed. I filled out the finance form and told them I would put $5000 down and would pay it off in one month. They said to wait 90 days, no charge and I agreed. They then jerked me around on financing, the finance manager never called me back to see if they would approve me. They asked me to come back in and see what we could do. I looked on the internet for a dealer near me and found Mac Haik and called them and got the manager of sales. I gave him the VIN # and he looked it up and said it was their vehicle at their store in Houston, and explained what had happened at Maxwell Dodge. He asked me to fill out an online financing application, which I did, and he asked me when I could come in and buy the truck. I came right in, signed the papers for $5000 down and $575 per month at a price of invoice minus all of the incentives. KABOOM! Things happened fast at Mac Haik. I was approved by a major lender, Chase Manhattan, and they got the truck the next day without charging me shipping. Not only that, but then they DELIVERED the truck to my house, and I have never had better service or a better buying experience during all of my white collar days.. 40 years of purchasing vehicles, including 3 Mercedes, 1 Porche and others. Their dealership is a first class group of people from the manager on down to their staff, and I have told my story many times. I've told them that they can contact me anytime someone has a question about how great these people are. Thanks for everything! - Charles
I was browsing the internet for a dependable car. I am new to TX and needed a car for commute to Austin from Temple. I saw the car i wanted online, applied for it without going and looking at it or test driving it, risky right. I have to say i didn't think i would be approved with the terms i was asking but low and behold i was, super excited right. So i go the next day to sign the papers and still did not test drive the car at all, i did look at it right before signing the papers. I have to say Chris Hernandez was my sales person in the used car part and i could not have been more pleased. He communicated with me thru email due to my work schedule and did not disappoint me at all in the complication of the vehicle knowing i was in a rush and was buying it blindly. He was honest about the condition, which was nothing really wrong with the car. When i meet him the next day i was amazed with him and the staff, they did not seem like they typical car dealership staffing at all. The experience was the most pleasant experience i have had with a dealership. I since have learn there is a Mac Haik here in Temple, lol. Due to the experience and kindness and professionalism from the Georgetown location i will travel from Temple to Georgetown for all my maintenance and when im ready to trade in i will be going back!! I mention Chris in sales but lets not forget the finance dept., so amazingly sweet and made the process pain free as possible! Kudos to Mac Haik, you have won me over as a satisfied and a repeat customer for life, keep up the hard work you do everyday to make car buying a wonderful experience. You have raised the bar for the competition to strive for.
When I worked up our dream vehicle through USAA, word was sent out to all of the local dealerships. Kayla Jones was the first to respond and make contact with us via email. We also received a message from the dealership on our home phone. Around Memorial Day, we received information from Kayla about the sales that were going on around that weekend via email. Due to her persistence, I was sure she was the one that we wanted to work with. Having already had a good experience with Mac Haik when we purchased our Ford, it would be like we were coming back to an old friend. Kayla was more than helpful on the phone so I would not have to travel from Killeen and not find what I was looking for. She was very receptive to answering all of my questions and was well informed with her responses. When we came in, even in the heat, she remained professional and helpful. When it came to the paperwork, she was efficient to say the least. We decided to finance through the dealership for a better interest rate than we were getting at USAA and found Aaron in finance equally helpful and personable. All in all, another great experience was had by the Bark Family. Thanks Kayla! Kevin &amp; Vivian Bark
