I love filipino dessert as my Mom love eating esp the Puto bumbong so i when I found out this store when I went to Sea food, I was excited to check the place out so I went infront of the store and i was greeted by the person in the cashier. It was a good day....then I asked the cashier if the kalamay was new cause it has like dates on it, I was shocked that this other lady was rude enough to comment that " Oh we don't serve rotten or old food only new and then said that ..ah that was made last year...so rude! talking about costumer service so I went away w/ nothing cause , I lost my appetite in that comfrontation but that was the people working there...talking about their food I can say when a friend of mine bought some i can say that their fried lumpia was good, their pansit is not that consistent and the malabon as well and their dinuguan is not consistent as well.(meaning sometimes is good but there are times it's not that good meaning poor) Cause I live around Miramesa and I am a filipino by heart I patronize their "kakanin" as well as Red Ribbon,Chowking and Goldilocks..but I can say that this is place is not as good as I think. I don't have any option and it's the only place w/ "kakanin" hopefully I hope that their are other store around that will cater like this Filipino desset plus has or they will improve!? but the costumer service from this lady is not to be forgotten.

During our stay at the Holiday Inn-Mission Bay/Sea World on Sports Arena Blvd., in San Diego, Ca., Baker's Square was right next door within a few feet of the hotel lobby. We ate there for breakfast which was very good! One late evening we visited Baker's Square again for dessert. The pie was great and so good with a hot cup of coffee on a cool, rainy night. Yes, it rained during our stay in 'sunny' California! However, it didn't dampen our spirits with so many great restaurants such as Baker's Square on Sports Arena Blvd., all within walking distance of the wonderful hotel we stayed at. While in 'sunny' San Diego, California, get away from the usual IHOP or Denny's and try Baker's Square and I promise you won't be disappointed. The decor is in good taste, and the waiters were all very nice and very neat. The restaurant was extremely clean, too. :-) Enjoy!
If you really love baked goods, this is the place to go. I have tried their cookies and other small back goods and I got my husband and I a cake to celebrate our anniversary. The cake was so smooth and delicious I could not help but have another peice. My whole family enjoyed their cake so much we are going to make this our place to go. I was very happy to find a place in San Diego which reminded me of the quality of my mothers and the local bakery's goods. I look forward to trying even more of thier items. I would really suggest this place to someone who wants quality at a reasonable price.
