Comprehensive Care: As your primary care provider and medical home, our goal is to meet the majority of your child’s physical and mental health needs including prevention/wellness, acute care and chronic care. Our team includes physicians, clinical staff, care coordinators, administrative staff, referral specialists and others to enable us to meet the needs of your child.

Below we have provided copies of several office policies regarding financial arrangements, missed appointments and immunizations. For new patients or patients that have not yet signed this form, we are providing our Notice of Privacy Practices and the Patient’s HIPAA Acknowledgement documents, as well as a form to Request Restriction on Use or Disclosure of your PHI (Protected Health Information). Please feel free to print out and sign any of these forms and bring them with you to your first appointment. This will save you some time. There are also forms that allow patients 18 years of age and older to inform Raleigh Pediatric Associates how they would like their health information used and with whom such information may be shared.

Autism
We will continue to see your child often for well visits to monitor their development and screen for any issues (including autism). Important vaccines are also given at some of these visits. You should bring your child at 15 months, 18 months, 2 years and 2.5 years (30 months) for a well exam.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
During elementary school, your child should be coming in for a comprehensive yearly well exam. These office visits are important for all children and are required for any patients taking medications for chronic conditions such as asthma or ADHD. We will continue to monitor his/her growth and development and screen for any problems. Vision and hearing screening will also be done at some of these visits.

Assessing and treating behavioral health issues is an important part of pediatric medicine today. Whether we are seeing a child having focus issues at school, anxiety or depression, or a teen engaging in risky behaviors, it is important to address these issues before they can have an effect on the child’s overall health.
