Yen China Cafe

The best Chinese food I have had since moving here 6 years ago and have tried many. Nice clean restaurant. Picked up food to go. All dishes was very excellent except the pork Lo Mein it needed more vegetables maybe cabbage and more onion it was kinda of tasteless. That being said we have made this our go to for Chinese.

Let me start out by say I adore good Chinese food and I am always on the look out for good service. That being said I can not say enough great things about Yen China Cafe located in Garland, Texas. My grandmother always told me "never judge a book by its cover" and nothing could be more true about this little gem hidden in a practically empty shopping center in North Garland. There are too few small family restaurants these days who can afford to offer amazing food, generous portions, at family friendly prices. My family of 4 can eat dinner and have leftovers to enjoy the next day for around $20 delivered to own home. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating taking special requests and making substitutions with no argument. My family doesn't care for onions but loves peas and carrots in their fried rice and in all the time we have ordered from Yen China Cafe we have never discovered a single onion. You get exactly what you want without any extra fuss. They make each and every dish fresh when you place your order with fresh quality ingredients and yet your order arrives at your door usually under 30 minutes. My favorite "go to" dish is the Chicken Teriyaki with fried rice. The chicken is tender and the vegetables are not over cooked. It reheats very well, which is great because the portions are so large I always enjoy it the next day for lunch. My husband loves the General Tao's Chicken and the kids love the Sweet and Sour chicken. The truth is you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Orders can even be placed online and they don't charge a delivery fee for diners within 3 miles of the restaurant. I would visit this wonderful little secret the next time you have a craving for amazing Chinese food or stay in and let them deliver something delicious to you at home. That's my buzz.
