Ok, I am not one to laud the virtues of Baylor Garland and compare it to some of the truely excellent hospitals in the DFW area. However, it is certainly a solid hospital. The ER does have very long waits most of the time. Part of that is because over 60,000 people go through that ER every year. To the reviewer who went to the ER with back pain and no insurance, you were treated exactly like anyone else would have been treated. Actually, you didn't mention if they did an x-ray but I hope they didn't to save you money. You could go to the best ER's in the country, and they would give you narcotics or NSAIDS and refer you out. ERs don't fix people, they stabilize people. To the other reviewer... Most of the EM physicians in the DFW area work at mire than one location, so you could have just as easily gotten Dr. Skippy that couldn't recognize pneumonia almost anywhere. In the future, take your kid to the doctor before he runs fever for 3 days.
