This is by far my favorite place for coffee in Atlanta. While I do frequent the biggest player in this market as well, Octane provides a great escape and change of pace. The options for coffee are extensive, THEY HAVE ALCOHOL and the staff is the by far the best part! They are the nicest group I've come across in a coffee house. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is the hours. I really feel like Octane would benefit from staying open on the weekend until at least 1AM. There is a definite market in the Atlanta area for an alternative to the traditional bar/club scene and I think Octane has all the ingredients. If you put an acoustic performer on Friday and Saturday evenings and made it 18 to get in, 21 to drink after 10pm, you'd fill a huge void in the Atlanta night that doesn't currently exist. That being said, I'm not shying away from Octane as a result. If I'm on the Westside I'm headed there, for sure.
This place is great, a lot of light gets in, and it also has an outside patio that would be great for catching up with friends or for taking a study break! There is also so much space at Condesa, I bet you won’t have trouble finding a spot if you come! I ordered an iced caramel latte and really enjoyed it! In the past I got a caramel macchiato (the original way, not the Starbucks way) and it was great as well! Pretty much you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! The staff is really nice too and gives good recommendations! You can also get pastries here and alcoholic drinks if you’re trying to wind down! For parking, there is mainly street parking (a little sketchy) as well as a few spots on in the parking deck that’s attached to the building (try to park in the deck).
I went last week and loved it! There are so many places to sit whether you want to park yourself at the counter or at the tables and the staff is really friendly! There’s free wi-fi and if you plan to stay here for a while I recommend bringing a cardigan because it gets really chilly in here! I went with the Vanilla Chai Freeze and it was delicious! I believe it cost $5 which is a little pricey but I think was partially justified by the size of the cup! Since this coffee shop is in Atlantic Station, there is free parking in the deck for two hours! I definitely recommend coming to this coffee shop and will be back!
