So okay me and my girlfriend was hungry and was craving some Asian food for lunch. We wanted something that is delicious and affordable without breaking the bank. So we went to Google to search for an Asian restaurant. What came up was this new authentic Asian restaurantiny Magnolia Park called Happy Buddha. It was awesome because it was close to the school we are both attending which is Santa Fe College, as a matter of fact it was so close that we had enough time to finish our lunch and get back to bio class after we had finished our meals. As soon as we arrive we were greeted by this sweet Asian waitress which served us some of the tastiest Asian food in Gainesville. So I ordered Chicken curry dinner which came with wonton soup, eggroll, and ginger salad. The chicken curry looked as if it was bursting with flavor it was brownish yellow from the curry with red spices as if it was made straight from Thailand. The wonton soup was okay just like any other any other soup but the eggroll was great. I ask the server how the eggroll was made and he said it was freshly handmade by the chef seasoned with his secret recipe. The ginger salad tasted good the mixture of the handmade ginger dressing perfectly match the fresh lettuce the combination of both tasted sweet. Mixing the salad with rice tasted good. On the other hand my girlfriend ordered combo Lo Mein which came with beef, shrimp, and pork. Its made with noodles, carrots, broccoli, and some japanese brown sauce. The delightful mixture of the creamy sauce to the noodles, and beef added with being cooked at a perfect temperature made it taste awesome.the only this i think they could do better is put a tv in there for up comming football season then the place would be the perfect place ...... hands down the best food in town

More like a 4.5, because no place is perfect! Saying that, my visit was wonderful. My wife and I came here for dinner walking around downtown and decided to stroll in. They had a modern look with a nice display of class. The food was superb, we had calimari to begin with followed by a to-die-for NY strip (marinated in bourbon and other juices) and rubbed with a coffee-ground. My wife had the grouper, also a delicious choice. Their wine selection was very good, but we went with some great happy hour martini's and couldn't have asked for better service. Definite recommendation!
My family and I have been going to this restaurant since the day they opened. They have a wonderful array of food, that's fresh and hot. The waitresses know us and remember what we want to drink. They are very attentive to refilling our drinks and cleaning off our table when our plates are done. I will always recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Chinese food! And for $4.99 for the buffet, no matter what time of the day or no matter which day you go, you can't beat that!
