Truly great artists at Valkyrie's! Got an awesome Declaration of independence piece on my arm it's amazing! Josh is fantastic and I haven't had the pleasure of the other artists but if they work for josh theyre top knotch. Ty for this one of a kind piece!

I have been so picky in picky an artist , I finally found an artist that matches my taste in style and Jesus at Valkyries was exactly that . He took the time to figure out how and what I wanted and the detail . The shop is immaculate and very clean and laid back atmosphere!! I will definately be back !!

I went to Valkyries Tattoo this past weekend to get a daith piercing. I walked in on Saturday without an appointment. I was very impressed with the very clean shop and the staff was very helpful and awesome. I was in and out in 45 minutes. The staff was excellent in preparing me for the piercing. They checked out both my ears to make sure I was a good candidate for the piercing (not everyone's ears are suited for this type of piercing). They helped me decide on which ear to pierce - which ear did I use to talk on the phone, did I sleep on my side (things I didn't even think of but very important!) Luckily for me I talk on the phone and sleep on the same side so it made my decision easy. They also warned me that I would most likely not be able to use ear buds again with this piercing (I was again thankful for this info, since it was something I hadn't thought about). Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the guy who actually did the piercing but he was great. Explained the procedure before doing anything, inked my ear to make sure I was happy with the placement and was very gentle when piercing my cartilage. He also took time to go over the aftercare and products he recommended for cleaning and the healing process (I have had other body piercing in the past and they just handed me a piece of paper, not even offering to go over it with me). I definitely recommend this place!!

I recently went to Valkyries tattoos and I am more than impressed with the work that Jesus did for me on my black and grey King skull. All the staff is very nice friendly and willing to work with you. I advise anyone who want a professionally done tattoo to go here and I will be returning. The environment is very clean and they gave me exactly what I wanted.

I don't even know to begin to express my satisfaction and appreciation of the folks at Valkyrie... For a little history, my only other personal tattoo experience was in the 90's in a smoke filled tattoo parlor catering to college kids... I was quickly handed off to an "artist" with a Marlboro Red dangling out of his mouth, a glass of whiskey at his side, and a definite eye towards the clock... the results predictably showed and I was turned off on the whole idea...My experience 20 years later with Valkyrie could not have been more different, I have truly learned what a modern tattoo shop should strive to be. Josh and the rest of the staff were very personable, they made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. As a family man in my 40's, I was somewhat nervous about taking the plunge, but the laid back, yet still very professional atmosphere of this entire operation quickly put my mind at ease. During my first session I witnessed many potential clients come through the doors, from working class folks such as myself, to obvious wealthy professionals, and I was struck by how Josh and the staff treated each and every one as valued customers. This is my first review ever of any product or service, but after spending months researching artists and shops, making an informed decision, and then seeing all that time and effort rewarded with amazing work I felt compelled to add my two cents to the already glowing reviews Valkyrie has received. I will say that if you and your buddies are looking for a quick, cheap tattoo on a hazy Saturday night this is probably not the place for you, you would be better served at one of the cheaper places in town,... but if you want a piece of art you can be proud of for a lifetime I strongly encourage you to invest the time to check them out...

Always been a fan of tattoos and piercings, so when I came into Valkyrie's, I'm pretty sure I've found my new shop. Clean, friendly staff and good work. First my nipples, next I'm going under the gun. I can't wait

Man I got to say I had a great experience here. I'll start with the receptionist, she was very polite and informative when I first called to schedule a consult. My first vist to the shop was great as was my second. Made me feel comfortable the whole time. The place was very clean and Josh Montiel was very clean,sterile and professional. I will for sure be returning for more work wouldn't go anywhere else after my experience and couldn't ask for a better job on my tattoo.

I was recently tattooed by Josh at Valkyries and it was such a great experience. The shop was extremely clean and welcoming. Josh is so friendly and down to earth—I truly never expected to take away as much as I did from this experience. Not only is he an amazing artist, he really listens to you when you describe what you want. He carefully took the time to work-up a drawing that I was 100% happy with and he was appreciative when I provided feedback requesting modifications. My husband and I will definitely be returning for more tattoos and this will be the only shop I will recommend to friends and family.

Josh at Vakyries is so amazing. My whole experience was wonderful and the atmosphere is extremely comfortable. I'm so happy with my tattoo, it's better than I imagined. He's a great artist, check him out!!

Josh is an amazing family oriented artist. He had a steady hand, barely any pain, and an over all great guy. Gives great advise for after care, he explains the whole nine yards. In fact, Jesus is also a great guy to converse with. I checked out his portfolio and I was also impressed. Will I go back, Hell yeah....BEST and only shop in Gainesville with a five star rating. great shop and great artist. Josh did a custom piece for me and devoted the whole day for it. Can't recommend enough
