        Childers’ is a name you can trust as we have been serving the Gaffney area since 1951. John O. Childers started the business as Childers Sheet Metal, and for years they specialized in roofing, guttering, sheet metal works, and furnace installation for central heating systems. In the early 60′s air conditioning was a rarity if not a novelty. We began installing air conditioning along with furnaces more frequently toward the end of the decade. With the housing boom in the early 70′s central air conditioning was a must, and in 1977 after John O. Jr. graduated from Clemson, we began selling Bryant Heating & Cooling products. In the early 80′s, John Jr. became president of the company, and later we changed the name to Childers’ Heating & Air Conditioning. Through the 32 years of association with Bryant, Childers’ Heating & Air has consistently been a Top Ten Bryant Dealer in South Carolina, a Medal of Excellence Award winner, and the Bryant Dealer of the Year in Add-On and Replacement Sales. We have received the President’s Award of excellence and recognized repeatedly for exceeding sales goals. We have been voted the Cherokee Chronicle’s “Best of the Best” Heating & Air Conditioning Company 8 of the 9 years the contest has been held. Our company is proud to have employees who have combined over 175 years of experience working solely for Childers’ Heating & Air conditioning.         Overall

        Just had our Bryant Evolution system installed. Childers had installed our old unit 22 years ago. Love the Evolution so far. Childers install crew and technicians were great to work with. Very prompt and knowledgeable. Johnny Childers knows the heat and air business and gave us all the information we needed when deciding on which unit to choose. Great price also.

        This is a 20 year review. Johnny Childers and Company installed two Bryant heat/air pump systems in my newly constructed home in 1995. I have been amazed by the trouble free service and extremely low power bills these last 20 years. The very few times I've needed service, Childers HVAC has been quick to respond, excellent service and extremely fair charges. I came home from work on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 to my upstairs unit not operating. Called Childers HVAC on Sunday morning at 7:50 AM...they had me up & cooling at 10:30 AM. That's service folks! I recommend their preventive maintenance plan....two times a year they check, clean, replace filters and make sure your systems are 100%. Kudos to Johnny Childers, Joe Ogle and Rick Childers for your extraordinary service. David B. Rogers, Gaffney, SC
