I purchased a previously owned fifth wheel from Great Outdoors. The salesman told us that you could not buy from a better dealer and that they really cared about the customer. Well let me tell you, on the day we came to pick up the fifth wheel we were suppose to have a 2 hour demo. The guy took about 20-25 minutes, he did not demonstrate he simply pointed and talked. I got the feeling that we were a pain for him. When my husband asked him a question he said "that's later". He was very unfriendly and I certainly did not want to ask him any questions. When the unit was delivered to the camp ground we were on our own. It rained and the water started coming in thru the roof where the tv antennae was located. When the rain stopped my husband went on the roof and found that the plug that holds the antennae in place had not been secured properly, so he fixed it. Then we noticed water running across the kitchen floor, the refrigerator drain was plugged, I cleaned it out and mopped the floor. We had a lot of problems lighting the hot water heater and we had no manuals to look at ( I printed them out from the internet later myself). Great Outdoors told me that they did not have a manual for it, I found it on the internet in 5 minutes. We called Great Outdoors and spoke to some one in service who told us he had no idea what to do. My husband figured it out with a neighbor's help. The rig came with a really nice sound system but the outdoor speakers do not work. My husband replaced the kitchen faucets because they leaked whenever I washed dishes. The campground owner told us we had to get a gray water cap and a cap for the septic as these were missing. The lights in one of the slides do not work, and yes we tried the fuses. 2 weeks after the unit was delivered we had a storm and the rain was coming sideways. It was then that we found out that there was some kind of vent hose on the side of the unit that had not been hooked up, so the rain poured in and again I mopped the kitchen floor. When I buy a new fifth wheel I won't be going to Great Outdoors!
