You would think you're in LA or Manhattan! A fabulous experience. Saving up for my next visit. Going to take my daughter and really splurge--do the whole thing!!

This isn’t so much about the fact that the stylist dyed my hair orange, and didn’t even style it when he was done; this is about the poor customer service you receive from Mr. Michael Blunt.

I have been going to the Michael Blunt Salon for approximately 7 months, seeing the same stylist. I never had any contact with Mr. Blunt before Friday, January 4th.

I arrived for my scheduled appointment which I had made a month before, only to be told my regular stylist was no longer employed at the salon. When I asked why no one called to let me know, Mr. Blunt responded with “it wasn’t their responsibility” to inform me of his departure. His attitude set the tone for the entire appointment. They said they could “fit” me in with another stylist if I wanted to stay (of course no one knew where my original stylist was), so I waited 45 minutes for the stylist to become available.

I called the salon the next morning to tell them my hair was orange and was told if I could come in at 10:30 the stylist could fix it, then they called back to say he wasn’t available until 4:00. I decided I didn’t want him trying a second time and told the receptionist I would prefer a refund.

Within 5 minutes Mr. Blunt called me back – the first words out of his mouth were “ there is no way I’m giving you a refund”. He said the stylist could redo the color but I wasn’t getting a refund. When I said I didn’t want his stylist to recolor my hair, I wanted a refund; he became quite snotty and started insulting me. He said my previous stylist had been fired and the reason he hadn’t informed me he was no longer at the “Michael Blunt Salon” was because I was probably a “lousy customer”. He said I didn’t know anything about color – he was the expert. When I told him I was going to write a review of his salon he threatened to send a letter to “every high end salon in Fresno making sure I was banned”. This went on for a few minutes, me telling him I wanted a refund and him insulting me and refusing. He finally said he would refund the cost of the color. It took a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau to get a response.

Michael Blunt may be about being a high-end salon with style, and a chic and luxurious décor but he is not about customer service. He is more concerned about promoting himself and his bottom line than in making sure the customer is happy and satisfied.

All in all if you have money to throw away, enjoy being degraded, insulted and lied to – go to the Michael Blunt Salon in Fresno.
