I Love My Pet

I will never take my dog here again. My dog came home with sores on his back and legs. They are inexperienced & very unprofessional. DONT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE!

DON'T BRING YOUR PET HERE. Our family dog went here to be groomed. He is a Samoyed husky with a beautiful white thick coat up until yesterday. They SHAVED HIM BALD!!! Right down to his skin. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Everyone knows you don't shave a husky. I can't believe they felt comfortable enough to do that n let him walk out of there with no fur or hair. Oh thanks...they left hair on his head and tail...WTF!!! In all the years we've had this dog he never looked as bad as he does when he leaves this groomer. It took 8 hours to shave him...REALLY!!! Is that how long it takes to shave a dog or is it that you probably sedated him & that's how long it took for it to wear off!!! Hmmm I wonder.

I live in Fresh Meadows and thought that 'I Love My Pet' would be great place to take my 5 year old Miniature Yorkie for a bath and a haircut. I was told that my dog would be finished within two hours. After the hours passed, I called to see if I could pick him up only to be told that they didn't even have my dog on record. After a long bout of panicking, my dog was located and I was told that it would take an additional 40 minutes for my dog to be finished. Finally, when my dog was returned to me I discovered red sores all over his neck and stomach. When I tried to get a logical explanation for why my dog looked this way, I was told that "He was too sensitive and that he would not sit still". Mind you, my dog is three pounds at the most. Now I may have to contact the vet about these mystery sores. Could not believe ow poorly my pet was treated. If you want quality service then 'I Love My Pet' is certainly not the place for you.

I took my miniature schnauzer in today for a full grooming service. The owner did a beautiful hair cut and perfume the pet. I would recommend this store to everyone.

This place is under new ownership. The girls, Jackie and Katherine, are great with my dog, Buster. I am very happy I saw this place on YP.com, I didn't like the old owners and wouldn't have known about the new ownership because I never drive down that street anymore. Great service and plenty of parking in the area. Take your pet there on Tuesday, it's Spa Day for the price of a regular groom.
