I am from New Orleans and love po-boys. This restaurant has the best po-boys in the city with a typical New Orleans casual laid back atmosphere. Sometimes the line seems long but it moves very fast. My favorite is the Roast Beef, however, I really love their muffalettas. ...more The salads are fresh and plentiful. The employees are friendly, fun and courteous. I highly recommend Johnny's. I am planning on trying their breakfast as I hear that it is terrific as well.view less

I am not trying to be harsh or picky, but this is not the best poboy shop in the city. Parkway, Shortstop, and We Never Close are ten times way better. They have rude customer service and they put ketchup on their sandwiches..that's just grossed. My mom's shrimp is also b...moreetter. Metarie and the West Bank have really good places to go for that cajun style sub. Don't believe the food network...you're not missing anything.view less
There are plenty of better dogs than Lucky, especially in Boston, but they're big, have fluffy buns, and they're everywhere -- perfect for a post-debauchery bite on the go. Don't do Bourbon Street without one!
