Blue Top Resort & Campground

We’ve been coming to Blue Top while it was under previous ownership as well as current owners and LOVE it. The grounds are great and very well maintained. The pond with the beach is great for the littles to safely play and catch a LOT of little fish (catch & release) to get them comfortable and excited about the water. Older kids can have more freedom and even walk into town or go out on the lake. The lake is great for recreation and fishing. The owners clearly care about making sure guests are able to have a family friendly, good time. It’s a little slice of heaven!

We just finished staying at Blue Top Resort. We stayed in a cabin and also had a camp site to pitch a tent. The owners could not have been more accommodating with our four families. This is a well run and very clean resort. The place was full and many people had dogs but we did not. I did not hear one dog barking. One friendly lady has been coming there for 43 years. The bathrooms had showers and they were very clean. We rented their pontoon boat also and it had a new motor on it. They also have a very nice fish cleaning building. I would highly recommend this place.

Our camping experience at Blue Top Resort was awful. The owner was VERY rude. She STOMPED down to our campsites and just started screaming at our group. We were all very surprised at how rude she was and at the way she handled the situation. Our young children were playing and swimming in the pond and she apparently didn't like that they were being kids and playing. There were other children in the pond at the same time, but only our group of children were her target. Just to clarify, no one was getting hurt nor was anything being damaged . They were laughing and having fun and apparently that is not acceptable behavior at this campground.

This is by far the WORST campground we have ever camped at! This is NOT a campground for kids and apparently not for dogs that bark per Camper 1956. It's too bad that I had to give this one star as I won't even give it that but wanted to warn anyone that is thinking about staying at this campground!

We had the same experience as Camper 1956. I think the owner irrational. Our children were on the raft in the pond and she had a melt down about it. There were 4 very large adult children visiting the camping grounds with a group other than ours, and she never said anything to them. She STOMPED from her office all the way to us. She called the police and asked to have us evicted. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me! On top of the rudest behavior ever, the campground is too small and very difficult to navigate with a larger vehicle and trailer. It took us over an hour to get in. The permanent residents across the street said this is typical due to where the trees are placed! Don't go here unless you are old, stick to your own site and don't talk above a whisper!

Camper 1956 can't be talking about the owner of BLUETOP. This is one of the best campgrounds I've stayed at and I do alot of camping. The sites are nice and very well maintained. If you are a fisherman or duck hunter it doesn't get any better than this place. The owners Ron and Debbie are some of the nicest campground hosts. I own two dogs and never had any problems here. In the fall many duck hunters stay here too. Their dogs bark and run all over the place and it's never been an issue. Camper1956 needs to give BLUETOP another chance.

My husband & I booked a 4 night stay at this campground. We also had our dogs with us at our tent site. We left after 24 hours at this place. Our dog was barking, as well as other dogs in the campground. Without any warning whatsoever, the owner stomped up to our campsite and screamed at us to shut our dog up immediately. We were stunned at this rude behaviour. It was out of line. A better way to handle it would have been to at least be civil, and remind us about the barking policy. Our vacation was ruined! I would NOT recommend this campground to anyone. They are NOT dog friendly. Camp anywhere else if you want to enjoy your dogs and camping experience.
