- General Info:
- In November of 1975, Larry Ludvigsen opened the doors of Ludvigsen Mortuary. Located on the corner of Hancock and 23rd Streets, Larry took over the building that housed the former Johnson Furniture Store that was owned by Carl H. Johnson who was Larry's father-in-law. Over the years the mortuary has done several additions and remodels to get the present day facility. In July of 2006 Ludvigsen Mortuary acquired the former Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper and the former Spear-Johnson Funeral Home in Scribner. We are thankful that we were invited to be part of these two wonderful communities and are grateful to the people for accepting us. We felt that these businesses should be more a reflection of the communities they serve so we changed the names to Ludvigsen's Hooper and Scribner Funeral Chapels.
