Irish Eyes

Be careful if you go to this shop- if you are overweight, have poor sight or mobility issues? You might knock something down. It will cost you! A friend came to visit from out of town, with her elderly friend who unfortunately knocked an item down as she turned in a tiny nook in the shop. A framed item fell off - the glass broke. The owner made her pay "to repair it". She was too embarrassed to say anything. The item was placed badly on the shelf, so I wrote the owner asking him to reconsider his treatment of her, and his response was that it had never happened before. How he could be sure that she was 100% at fault - I will never know.I do know that I was standing right there, & she didn't touch it.
She saw it briefly -thought it was only paper- as she walked into that tiny space (too tiny for breakable items to be displayed where they could be knocked! She is large, over 70, sight impaired & shouldn't have been charged! Apparently making money is more important than being fair.

The shop owner kicked my boyfriend and I out of the store for no reason what so ever. He refused to give us a reason why and got all red in the face. When I went back inside to get my friends who I had been waiting for the man came from behind the counter and laid his hands on me... I am mind blown that my money or existence wasn't good enough for him because I had a boyfriend.
