Comprehensive Examination
We stress the importance of an annual physical examination and health screenings. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help reduce serious health problems and improve quality of life.
We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of Hill’s Prescription and other specialty diets.
Pain Management
Anything that causes pain in people can be expected to cause pain in animals. Pets may not show the same symptoms of pain as people do; they usually don’t whine or cry, but you can be sure they feel it. Pain medications needed will depend on the surgery performed. Obviously, major procedures require more pain relief than minor ones.
We offer several levels of blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in prior to surgery. Our doctors prefer the more comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.
We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients, but reservations are required. For the health and safety of all our pet guests, specific vaccinations and screening tests must be completed prior to boarding, before reservations are confirmed. Please inquire and our staff will be glad to explain the health requirements to you. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. We also offer pre-arranged only pick-up on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.
