I cannot convey the skepticism that I have always had towards "traditional" at dealers. Lets face it, their reputations have been horrible. Remember Bill Heard? Furthermore, as a former employee of Carmax for almost 4yrs, I was used to the easy way of buying a "certified" car. I don't mind admitting that I was dead wrong to be cynical and skeptical. My salesman Greg Schmidt was fantastic, likable, and patient with me & my two screaming kids. He made the process more simple than when I bought a car from Carmax. One word on Carmax for a moment: they are NOT the best deal in town and their cleanliness and "certified" quality is marginal, from my experience. Anyway, we bought an Odyssey sight unseen, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Greg has 24yr experience and it shows. I got the best deal on any low mile CPO 2011 Odyssey EXL RES following a nationwide search (Carmax, cars.com, etc). I didn't have to haggle. I'm thrilled to say I was wrong, Ol' DW is the way to go for a Honda & Greg Schmidt should be your salesman.
Excellent guy! If they don't have exactly what you are looking for, Mr. Wack will certainly find it for you. Customer Service is #1 to this guy. If you are not happy, he is not happy and will do whatever it takes to meet your needs. I recommend you contact this dealer if you are in the market for a new or pre-owned GMC, Pontiac, or Buick. I just bought an '09 PONTIAC VIBE GT and I LOVE IT!! Do yourself a favor and get one too...save some gas as they top out at 34miles per gallon...amazing stuff here!!! Also, they have a excellent and professional financing manager there that will help you get the best rate out there. I am very pleased with my purchase experience. I live 30 miles away from Darrell Waltrip and they gave me a loaner car for 2 days. I have an old car and was not able to find the gas cap release on the 2008 car they gave me so I could refill the 1/4 tank of gas I used. When I asked where it was located so I could go back to the station, they said "don't worry about it". I showed them how much gas I used and they still declined my offer to reimburse them with cash twice. I also received a followup call to ask if I was satisfied with the service and repair. I recommend Darrell Waltrip.
