My problem started with my uppper-mid back nearly a year and a half ago. For a year and a half I tried chiropractors, tried changing my sleeping, tried a week of intensively foam-rolling my back for nearly two hours a day, I changed my work desk up and further tried a really intensive fairly expensive six month chiropractic program. Results were poor or inconsistent. I finally gave in and saw my doctor, she recommended me to a general Results Physiotherapy clinic and I chose this one in Frankllin so I could go during lunch hours. Their techniques included a movement assesment to see what was/wasn't working, they'd physically move your limbs around if that was part of getting you to health, I received deep tissue work on my back to get my muscles unlocked from around a section of my spine. I also was taught a number of exercises - some with tools, some you'd use a large bench in the office, sometimes their actual weight-room equipment. The exercises were adjusted and added to as we went. Lastly, they have an electric stimulation machine to help relax your muscles back. I have a tens unit from a previous attempt to get my back going and it's nothing like that weird zapping feeling, it's much gentler, and it's an optional thing since copays could be an issue, but I found it worthwhile. First, the staff are all incredible here - they're having fun, making you feel very welcomed (and we are a hugely mixed crowd in age and issues) and even though they're having fun, they're so professional. Not a day went by when I didn't see every member of the staff from the actual Therapists to the assistants to the check in crew helping - checking exercises and guiding form, answering questions, folding towels, finding new stretch bands to use - they are non stop and even so they'd still make sure to check in when you were doing your exercises that you were okay. I even saw them cross training each other on a daily basis, talking about industry advancements and using each other as trainer & trainee to learn how to teach their exercises. I really liked the staff here, super personable, you felt welcomed. Most importantly and miraculously in my opinion is just how well and how quickly Eric's physical therapy exercises and practices worked. He worked with me to set goals, yes, but we destroyed them in just about two weeks. After a year and a half of what we called my "familiar pain" I got the training, the walk troughs and the initial push to get me to a point where I'm not scared to do the things I used to think caused the pain to worsen. I won't say I'm pain free, mostly a few days I'll have a tightness that makes me nervous but I'm *that* pain free and I can now typically take my exercises and work out the tightness. Stick to your routine, make the effort, these guys seriously try to help and really know their skills to use. In a month I was comfortable enough to "graduate" and I'm not even comfortable working at a desk most days!
Seriously, I really couldn't be happier! My husband and I had been going to the same hairdresser for many years. While my husband was mostly satisfied with his haircuts, I--on the other hand--was left dreading each one. Rarely did I receive a cut where I looked in the mirror and said to myself, "Wow, my hair looks fantastic!" Sigh. So, when my hairdresser moved and we were left hair salon "homeless," I went looking to the Internet for some reviews. That's when I found Brenda Brown at New Beginnings (she's also the owner). She listened to what I wanted and gave me a precision cut that is cute, stylish, and compliments my features. Now when it's time to shower and fix my hair, I know that my cut is going to do what it's supposed to do and not leave me in front of the mirror forever just trying to get it to look halfway decent before I have to be somewhere. I have an appointment next month for my first hair color, so I'll be sure to leave a rating for that as well. Another client left a very favorable review regarding their coloring experience, and after meeting Brenda and getting a great feel for her knowledge and expertise, I'm more than confident that she will exceed my expectations. So, if you are new in town or just feeling the need to try someone new, please give Brenda the opportunity....you'll be glad that you did!! :)
Finding Brenda has been wonderful! I have gone to another salon for years for my highlighting and have been satisfied with their work. However, their prices kept climbing and reached the point of being overpriced and unaffordable to me now. I cannot and won't pay the newer prices. So...a couple weeks ago I began calling all the Franklin salons and getting their prices on highlighting. I had decided to go with the one that offered the best price. That was Brenda. We spoke on the phone about my hair and what I needed and I made my first appointment with her. Wow...that decision proved to be a superb one. Brenda made every effort to give me what I wanted...and she most definitely delivered. She didn't seem rushed but took the time to do it right and make me satisfied. And so many friends have complimented me on my hair. Additionally, she is a sweetheart and I feel now like I not only have a new hairdresser but also a new friend. I enjoyed yakking with her while she did her magic on me and sorta hated to say "bye" that day. But I will be seeing her again...and again...and again in the future as long as she continues taking such good care of me and my hair! Thanks again Brenda.
I have naturally curly hair and although coveted by women with straight hair it's A PAIN to find hairdresser that know how to cut it well. Often, the haircut leaves my long hair droopy on top and curly at the ends or they put a layer in around eye level and there is a shelf. If you know what I mean, then you need to get your haircut by Reagan. It also helps that she has long, naturally curly hair herself. One thing to keep in mind. This is a salon run by 2 women. Don't expect the glass of wine while you wait or the frappacino. Don't expect the fru-fru's of other salons. And they don't have a receptionist so you may have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back. But for a shampoo, cut & blow-dry for under $40, it's a fantastic place.
Ecco salon is an amazing experience thank you Marilyn McConnell! A friend of mine has been going to Marilyn for over a year now she kept telling me about her. Finally i booked with her and wow what an amazing job she did. Not only did i feel comfortable with her i really enjoyed talking with her. I have never received a better highlight and blow out, i never knew my hair could look so beautiful! i also like to add how thorough she was and how she showed me tricks and techniques so i could achieve the same style at home! Needless to say i will be back and hope she gets the recognition she deserves i have been all over the place and never walked out of a salon as happy as i did!! Marilyn your the best!!
Uli had totally transformed my hair. My hair is naturally curly. It was frizzy, unmanageable and damaged when I went to Unruli. After several treatments, my hair has never looked so good. This is absolutely the best place for Brazilian blowouts and Keratin treatments that I have ever found, and I have tried a ton of places over the past 30 years! Most importantly they modify the treatments based on what's best for your hair. It's definitely not a one size fits all approach. While they are great for "unruli" hair, they also provide the best color and cut too! I am so excited I found this place. Try them out! #bestsaloninfranklin #bestbrazillianblowout #besthaircut #besthaircut
My first visit was a great experience. Definately not a "chain" feel. It felt more like being at home. The layout of the place was indeed designed to feel like home. The Stylists and Barber were so kind and friendly. You could just tell from talking to them, they love what they do and take pride in their work. I watched all three of them as they worked their magic, they are very good at what they do. They want you to feel like family...and I did! So, check 'em out...their location is in an unassuming little nestled in spot just off the square in Franklin, TN (218 4th Ave. N.). I guarantee you will like your experience there too.
Tricia is awesome! I have been a loyal client of hers for 6 years now. She is fun, trendy, and excellent at color. I love to change my hair and I know that whatever we decide it will always look great! Usually when I come in, she will bring out the color samples and we will pick a few different shades of blonde and brown...the end result is always fabulous! Over the years we have done a TON of different cuts, styles, and colors from very trendy to very classic and natural. She can do it all! I am so lucky I found her I don't know what I would do if she moved out of state! :)
I am very picky when it comes to getting my hair cut and I have to say that the minute I walked into The Hair Shop I felt at ease by the friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of the atmosphere. It is a cute little salon and the cuts are perfect! My hair dresser was not satisfied until I was, her opinions were greatly appreciated and I left very anxious for my hair to grow so I could come back and visit again. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!
Finally I can get my hair done and get it done right! The owner, Darla, knows exactly what to do and doesn't need any direction; working with your features to get the best color and cut. It isn't the cheapest place in town but you PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET! You want top notch, you pay top notch and it is worth every penny! I've been going to her for a couple of years now and have never left disappointed.
