We live in Waco, Texas and was referred by the case managers at Providence Hospital. We never heard of Kindred before, so we did a google search and found some positive reviews. We were there for a total of 15 days and give Kindred a 5 star. The admission process was simple and fast as the prior hospital submitted all information making it easy to check in. All we had to do was show the Medicare and Blue Cross card and we were set. I would like to say thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and therapist who looked after my husband and helping him in his recovery. I would like to highlight a few key people that really helped us while there... Josie who performed taks that went above and beyondher normal duties. Thank you Tod and Dorcus who was there for us when we needed them. We have had some really emotional times and both comfortedus through the hardship. Thank you Ben and Barbara for going beyond your assigned dutiesto. I do have to say that they have some of the nicest nurses.

I was at Clebure hospital for about 4 days and one of the staff advised me to go to Kindred. I didn't know about Kindred but had a great experience and wanted to share my thoughts to those that plan to come. I was at Kindred for around 4 week and their team was outstanding. The 3rd floor nurses were wonderful. Some of the people that stood out were Ashley T because she helped me to get some issues resolved. The man at the front desk was really nice, I think his name was John. Another person that was sweet and caring was Jamecca who was my nurse during the night. Thank you for being so sweet! Angie also stood out in her own way as she helped me regarding me health updates and also looked after me during my stay. Thank you Josie for being another great nurse and being there for me. I hope my message gets passed down to those that I mentioned in this review. Also cudos to Eric in the house keeping department for keeping my room so clean. Its like having my mom take care of me while sick.
I was referred by my homehealth care provider that I should be admitted to the Kindred pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Southwest. Didn't;t do to much research but decided to go after considering my health and family as a number 1 factor in getting better. . Kindred's team has taught me different techniques on how to breath which has helped me to better understand my body and breathing habits. Ronny from the pulmonary team was very helpful and supportive in my recovery. One of the suggestions when you are a patient for their pulmonary programs is to listen to the pulmonary expert as they have a lot of advise on how to better your breathing technique. Ronny was also very informative and he shared great knowledge on COPD and what signs to look for when you think you are having COPD symptoms. Ronny advise that I pace myself and to think about what my mind says I can do, VS what my body can do. Most of this was adjusted by my breathing technique. Thank you to the pulmonary team.
