Overall

Unbelievable Staff! Courteous and very professional group of people to work with! These people know their stuff, which is awesome for people that walk in not having a clue what their needs are other than needing floorcovering. We had tons of choices, and the expert help educating us with what we needed for our home and why (pets, messy kids). Everything was ordered and installed in record speed, and I can say my floors look fantastic! So satisfied with my experience and will not only refer them to everyone I know, but will always take my business to them in the future. Thank you HOUSE OF CARPETS!

Superior customer service, knowledge, and product line. My wife and I have shopped for carpet and tile over the last couple years, visiting many different venders in Fort Walton Beach. Fortunately, we stopped in House of Carpets and found their customer service personnel very professional and knowledgeable of their product line as well as the industry. The best thing is that they are very competitive on price. They can also deliver on the product and installation with a quick turn-around from the time you place your order until installation. We ordered our carpet and porcelain tile on a Thursday and it was installed about one week later. Heather Parkton, Sales Consultant was an absolute joy to work with and she went out of her way to please. Don't be mislead by her youthful appearance, she is very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Heather and the House of Carpets for your tile and carpet needs.

Overall

Poor customer service. I would turn them in to the Better Business Bureau but my complaint is only for lack of customer care. We stayed local even though we could have saved $500.00 by buying on line. We were against a timeline, Mr. Duttweiler thought he might get the tile on the 18th but worse case the 23rd. We never heard from him on the status, we had to called him. The 23rd came and again we called them and on our second call, he said he hadn't even called to see where the truck was, and this was around noon! He was to call us back because my tile installer was tearing up our floor. Once again we had to call only to find Mr. Dutweiler had left for the day. I admit the next day he drove to Mobile to pick up our tile, but then my husband had to help unload it. We went out of our way to take him a check instead of doing it by credit so he could save the fee. Yet we got absolutely no customer service. We had to call them each and every time for a status! I sent him an e-mail detailing my disappointment and go figure, not even an apology. I will never use them and neither will my friends.
