Best shop in Fort Myers hands down! Do not waste your time going anywhere else... TRUST ME!!! Dave is very meticulous when it comes to cutting your hair and he always strives to ensure you leave his shop happier then when you arrived. He always takes his time when cutting your hair to make sure it is cut just how you like it, and if for some reason you get home and realize there is something wrong, he encourages you to come back as soon as possible for him to make you happy! Honestly, most barbers are out there to just cut as many heads as possible to collect as much money as they can, but that's not Dave, he is there to establish a satisfying relationship with his customers in order for them to keep wanting to come back time and time again. Go to Dave's one time and I bet you go back again just like I have been. However, make sure you call to make an appointment with Dave himself since he only cuts by appointment. He is that good! Nonetheless, his shop does allow walk-ins, but you will not be able to get Dave. Be smart, go here, and do not waste your time going from barber to barber until you eventually end up at Dave's anyways since he is the best in town.. Not just professionally, but personally as well!
My husband has a bad habit of NOT going to the BARBER SHOP & the hacking away at his hair to get it out of his eyes & off his shoulders !!! Well, we had a HIGH SCHOOL REUNION & he needed his hair REPAIRED QUICKLY !!! So, at 3:30PM on a Saturday, 2 1/2hrs b4 our event I checked GOOGLE 4 a close-by barber (who was stil opened !!!), most close by 2PM to #PM. We got lucky & they were opened & would wait 4 him ! I told the guy on the phone that my hubby had really wacked it up pretty badly, but he said, "Send him down & we'll fix it"! And I must say they did a fabulous job !!! It cost $18, which I didn't mind paying for a repair job, but my hubby says that was the regular price !!! That's TOO HIGH 4 a man's hair cut in our opinion, but the did do a wonderful job on a horribly wacked up head of hair. I think they should lower their prices to get MORE BUSINESS !!! As we can't afford over $9.00 on a regular basis. But they are good, so feel confident going here !!!!!!!! 10 - 6 - 2012
We avoided the place during our last visit due to the poor reviews here and went to one of the top-rated barber shops. The result: disinterested service because we were not one of their regulars, a very high bill, but a decent cut. This time we followed Grandpa's advice and went to Diane's Barber Shop. She is a hearty lady, but by no stretch of the imagination rude. She understood the desires of the Grandson (age 12) as well as mine (age 55) and Grandpa's (age 88). She worked alone, but we had called before going there and there was no wait, except waiting for each other. Everybody walked out happy - she knows her job of cutting hair and we even got a complimentary neck massage. All at a price you can't be beat! Her problem is that her clientele is not internet-savy. Most of them are older folks who would never think of looking her up in the internet. That is why she has nothing to counterbalance those terrible ratings. As long as she is around we'll never go anywhere else in Fort Myers again!
