As a Trucker I stay at the Oasis often. I came back through the area to find out the Oasis was sold and no longer offered the Kitchenettes that I so desired. The manager was down right rude. I complained about the price and she said I don't have to rent to you if I don't want too and then told me to take it or leave it. I left it. The Oasis was the last of the cheep motels, it's sad to see it go. Now it looks like an office building. The bluish green neon no longer surrounds the facade welcoming weary travelers to a cheap nights stay. I refused the room, just because the manager was rude and also because of the price was the same as the Comfort Inn and suets. There I get a free breakfast with each days stay. So I tipped my hat to the Oasis, hoped in my truck and drove on. To all the truckers that use to stay there, I wish you luck in finding a new place that welcomes us like the Oasis once did. If you are anything but high class, this motel is no longer for you. If you are high class, this motel has little to offer you as well except a high price. No I do not recommend this motel any more to anyone.
