Bistro Mezzaluna Restaurant

Last Friday night we went to this restaurant for a celebration of two birthdays.The group of 6 women were excited to celebrate with each other . I walked in and gave the cake to the maître d’ and said this is a special cake with a special candle do not light it until you get to the table I appreciate it. The whole night was very stressful from the time we were greeted by Todd a waiter which was A total horror. He was very condescending was impatient at times very annoying.He greeted us with the welcome of we are Short staffed so you have to give me your orders now!. A relaxing evening became a chore .Besides trying to socialize with friends we haven’t seen for a while we had to make our decisions very quickly on two mobile menus. When you have people sharing menus and trying to decide under a time frame it becomes stressful. He kept on coming back to see if we were ready and putting demands on us.We had it organized for a group of us paying for the appetizers separately as a birthday gift to the other half of the group he totally did not understand it. Then we have the issue after eating a semi-good dinner not worth money !!.
Todd uncourteous impatient waiter came out and dropped the dessert menus on the table and walked away not asking us if we wanted coffee not asking us if we were ready to order dessert he ran for the hills. When he did returned we said we had a cake . He abruptly said who did you give it to?We said the man in the front and he ran away like he was totally upset. Not once was Todd very impatient and unhappy waiter This was many times. The cake came out with the candle not working and he abruptly said it’s broken. After saying that a few times my friend said throw it away and just put the cake down. He ran away again.We took the leftover cake home and on the way home there was a werd noise trying to sing happy birthday which was the candle that he was told to throw away ..I have been fine dining all my life .I have never encountered such a terrible meal with a server as bad as Todd.

Good Food---poor management!

This is truly an outstanding restaurant. The ravioli is incredible. The sauces are so authentic, just like Italy! I love the desserts.
