If you are unsure of whether or not your pet is in need of a dental cleaning, it is important for you to understand the contributing factors and many other aspects of dental disease.
Vaccination
They have always taken good care of me and my furry friend. I take my dog here for routine items like nail trimming, check-ups and vaccinations. I have luckily not had to take him in for any medical conditions or urgent issues, but I trust they would take good care of him if that time ever comes. They are also helpful to call in order to ask if you need to bring your pet in under a given circumstance.

Mosquitos carry this disease and transfer it between dogs. Your dog should be tested yearly for heartworm and kept on preventive medication year-round.

You may see John climbing or biking around Horsetooth or up Poudre Canyon… or enjoying his favorite meal (Brunch) with his daughter downtown. John is still actively involved at CSU. He serves on the Curriculum Committee for the CSU Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. You may see him on campus giving presentations to the Pre-vet club or meeting with graduate students on what life is like as a practicing veterinarian. John also started a mentoring program at Raintree that gives future veterinarians an idea of what life is like at the hospital.

Susan was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In the summer of ’97, she moved to the wonderful state of Colorado to attend Colorado State University. In 2001, she graduated with a BS in Wildlife Biology. Susan wanted to broaden her animal education, so she completed the Veterinary Technician Program at Front Range Community College and in 2004 become a certified veterinary technician. Since then she has had the pleasure of working at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in various small animal services, such as Community Practice, Internal Medicine, and Dentistry and Oral Surgery.

Raintree Animal Hospital is in search of a full-time associate veterinarian for our 2nd location in Timnath, CO. This location will be opening in December 2022. A positive friendly attitude, exceptional clinical skills, and fantastic people skills are a must! Applicants must be proficient in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including strong surgical skills and the ability to interpret radiographs and laboratory results. Applicants must be able to discuss preventative care as well as recommendations for the treatment of chronic conditions with a diverse clientele. Our hospital will feature electronic medical records, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment, a full-service surgery suite, and a comprehensive pharmacy.
Microchipping
One in three pets will get lost. Many lost animals are found without their collars and tags. Lost pets that are brought into a shelter are scanned for a microchip and can be reunited with their owners with the information provided. With HomeAgain, a pet recovery service, a pet is recovered every six minutes.
