Very disappointing. We met twice with the owner to discuss our wedding. First off, a little pricey and the owner seems to have his own vision on what to do and only takes little input on what you want. I didn't want to spend a lot on flowers and we are having a fall wedding so we liked the mums that are in season around that time and in our color. However since it was not a more pricey flower it was kind of brushed aside. We met with him twice. The first time we made an appointment just to discuss ideas and price estimate. It was a bit more then I thought it would be. When we got home we discussed what we needed and decided to have him only do flowers for the wedding party, parents and grandparents. Whereas before we had gotten a price estimate for wedding party, parents, grandparents, godparents, decorations for reception and ceremony, and decorating a arch we are going to be married under. The second time we didn't make an appointment and just stopped in to ask about downsizing what we were needing for the wedding. At that time we put down a $100 deposit to hold the date. All he did was run our card and gave us a receipt for the deposit. A few weeks later we decided we where no longer going to go with them for the wedding so I called to cancel so they were able to free the day up and that we could get a refund on our deposit, because at our first meeting he said that it would be returned with enough notice to canceling (3months). When I called they said they could not refund us our deposit. They claim that they already turned down a wedding and that it went towards a "non-refundable" consultation fee. This was news to me! when I called to set up a meeting for the first time there was no mention of a consultation fee and also no charge when I left and didn't book with him. Also I had not signed any contract binding us and saying that the deposit was nonrefundable. They are just about the money and not about customer service. If they would have refunded me I would have used them in the future for gifts and flowers. But after this experience I would not recommend anyone to there store. They are not upfront about a fee for a consult (which $100 to meet with a florist is absurd!) and how convenient none of this is brought up until you no longer want to do business with them. I live locally to this business (that is in a small town) and will make sure everyone knows about this experience. Word travels fast.
