Tis is a cool theater. I like the oldness of it and the spooky stories about it, how it is haunted

Carmike Hickory Point 12Heath C. rated

Dear Carmike Cinemas Manager, I am writing in regards to the sign you have posted about no guns allowed. Your sign states 'Important notice to all guests. Backpacks/packages/bags to ensure the safety of our guests and employees, Carmike cinemas reserves the right to inspec...moret the contents of any backpack, package, or bag prior to admission. Guns and weapons are not allowed. First off I would like to state your sign only applies to law abiding citizens because criminals do not follow the law. Your sign is leaving law abiding citizens completely defenseless. Criminals will not obey your sign. That is why they are called criminals. If someone wishes to do harm, there is no one to stop them because of your sign. A sign is just that. A sign. As I have already stated above, the sign you have posted will only be obeyed by law abiding citizens. The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Gun free zones do not work. If a bad person wants to cause harm he/she will do so. For example, James Eagan Holmes shot and killed 12 people and injured 70 others. This was a gun free zone at a Century movie theater in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012. On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty children and six adult staff members in a mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the village of Sandy Hook in Newtown, Connecticut. This was also a gun free zone. I ask that you allow law abiding citizens to lawfully carry concealed while attending your movie showings. Allow concealed carry in your theaters. Law abiding citizens are carrying to protect themselves. American citizens conceal and carry in order to protect themselves and their loved ones. They are not carrying so they can go kill people. If they wanted to do that they would go illegally purchase a gun from some thug and just kill people. Not jump through hoops in order to do it. They have gone through the training to be allowed to carry. If they are carrying concealed then they have gone through the proper training to do so and are following the law in order to do so. These signs have been posted at both the Forsyth and Mt. Zion locations. With great respect, Heath Cox view less
