Just want to let anyone know that you should be careful and question all fees when dealing with this vet clinic. I brought my pet Scooter to be euthanized due to health problems beyond quality of life. I specifically told the dr that I would be bringing him directly from the office to crematory and was taking him in a small blanket out to my car and dr force said don't worry I will give him something nice to carry him out in. Yes, it was nice, however he charged me $15 extra for this item of which I certainly did not need since me precious pet was going directly to the Noah's Ark crematory. I felt like I was being nickel and dimed to quote an old saying , being fooled by this dr that he truly cared about my situation and what I was going through

First time going. Initially the vet seemed fine, however when I tried to explain more in detail the history of the dogs condition the Vet became extremely condescending. When I insisted there might be a possible fungal infection he began rolling eyes, to chuckles. I tried to explain the situation with the dog and what Preceded which would have made more sense, but noticed he started to become defensive ..started acting annoyed.
I was horrified by his level of unprofessionalism. Anyone knows that a secure individual is not threatened or easily angered unless full of Narcissism Ego. 30 plus years I have owned pets and never encountered such defensiveness or unprofessional behavior from a vet !
Good Drs are good listeners and not threatened by someone who may have information or who may not agree. I was there accompanied by an 87 yr old relative thankfully a witness. He was also insulted when the Dr made fun of where we were both from . As I approached the front of the reception area near the door , (as he was still yelling about all his credentials) I stated perhaps he was insecure. With that without any self control he then charged down the hall right into my personal space inches from my face,( a tall man saliva coming from his mouth ) calling me a moron ! I felt threatened so put my hand out. As I was walking out was horrified to notice the receptionist laughing as well !
I ask Is this the behavior of a stable Professional or office ? Is this just a sign of the times we are living in ?
While driving back home had an after thought ... While in the office noticed many water stains throughout the office in the ceiling's. I wonder if the poor air quality is the culprit for his uncontrolled outburst ?
I would never recommend this vet . He displayed a lack of self control and unprofessionalism. These are Red Flags signaling instability, bullish Narcissistic traits. RUN for your life !!
Actually I am not at all shocked someone would come to the Dr's defense after my review. I am thankful that I was with a witness that day who can testify to these facts ! As for fungal infection's..they may not be common to this Dr. but do exist. I am not sure how any Dr could know what the dog had without titer testing or lab work ; the fact is the dog could have had auto immune or recurrent fungal infection...again without a forum allowing a client the ability to share with the Dr about preexisting issues makes a visit of no avail. I was not about to waste my dog's time or my money.
As for possible mold in the office.. anyone with any ounce of intelligence would understand that water damage does create a mold situation resulting in poor indoor air quality.
I only suggested that might be the root cause of the Dr's lack of impulse control ( yelling, chasing; ) in his office.

Thankfully my dog was treated elsewhere,.. minus all the unnecessary unprofessional drama. "Not my circus, not my monkeys."

I don't normally write reviews on here, especially of businesses I am very satisfied with, like Forked River Animal Hospital, but I have to respond to what the previous reviewer, Jane S wrote, unfairly about Dr. Force. How do I know this? Well, I have been taking my pets there for years, and have known Dr Force for several years; but how do I really know that what she wrote was unfair? I was sitting in the waiting room at FRAH and I heard most if not all of the exchange between Dr. Force and Jane S.!!! I remember thinking to myself "why is this woman so obsessed with mold??" I also remember thinking to myself "why is she here if she is going to disagree and argue with Dr. Force about everything he says -- didn't she come here for his expertise and to get help for her pet?? What does she think she has to prove??" I couldn't help but wonder to myself that day if she did the same thing to her own doctors when she went to appointments for herself!! I know, I know: There are many people out there nowadays who feel spending an hour on a computer gives them medical or veterinary credentials from Google University, but let's be real here: Dr. Force is a very experienced qualified veterinarian who has shown compassion to both pets and their owners.....for this person Jane S. to write a scathing review about him because he didn't agree with her about mold (boy, was she obsessed!) is totally unfair, and I could not let her comments go without sharing what i noticed that day. Maybe the leaks she noticed in the ceiling tiles were going to HER head (there's that mold again!!) Anyway, as a client of Dr Force's and FRAH for many years, I ask you to give FRAH a chance if you have a pet in need, and form your own opinion about Dr. Force, before listening to craziness -- there, I said it --such as this. Thank you!!

I can't say enough good things...

Simply put: Dr Force does not make decisions regarding the care and treatment of our pets based on money - in fact, he prides himself on offering affordable care - the complete opposite of what you accused him of in your review! I for one can't say enough good things about the veterinary services my cat has received from Forked River Animal Hospital, but maybe sharing that I am willing to drive almost an hour to have my elderly cat seen by Dr. Force says it all. I highly recommend FRAH to anyone looking for personable, affordable, and professional health care for their pets!

I'm giving this Dr the worst r...

Let me rephrase this review, to clear up any miss understood comments. The DX that the doctor gave was correct! Other then the statement of the dog being blind in both! eyes. I have went and gotten an third opinion, And their is no reason why the dogs eyes need to be taking out asap. Nor does the dog need to be put down. He is in good shape. I am mainly upset with the care I received about how to handle my dog. I was never shown how to put drop in a dogs eyes that loves to bite when you are by his face. He was so quick to give me the worst case opinion. And I FELT like I was being rushed into something that could of possibly been pushed off for a wail. Both vet opinions spent the time (1hr 1/2) to make sure I understood the DX and shown me tricks to get the drops in and its working out well. Happy to say that the ulcer in the eye is starting to close and yes the dog will need drop for the reminder of his time but he is alive and he has his eyes! To note am entitled to my opinion and I would of never posted this if I didn't know to get 2 other opinions. So to sum up am not happy with the office however the DX was half right! Am happy that you like this office. However am not! I have to add that the medication I received cost me cost me close to 50 bucks when the same meds are at walmat for $4 each! I wouldn't of know that either if not been told!

I find the review below byTher...

I find the review below by Theresa Staples very hard to believe: I have been taking my elderly cat to Dr Force for years now, and I can honestly say that Dr. Force has never recommended care or treatment for my cat based on the almighty dollar - in fact, the complete opposite! When I started taking my cat to him, her previous vet had me giving her a very expensive medication for arthritis and stiffness. Dr Force told me I was wasting my money, and had me give her 1/4 of a St Joseph's aspirin every three days - what a savings! I do feel badly that your dog is old, like my cat is (she is 18+ years old) -- but I had to challenge what you wrote here, because I have always found Dr Force and his hospital to be caring, responsive, and at the same time realistic and conservative in how he approaches the care and treatment of my elderly pet. I recommend Forked River Animal Hospital to anyone!

Outstanding Care and Service

I have been taking my two cats to Dr.Force for well over a year now and have always been pleased with the care and service provided. Since moving to this area, I have used several local vets, but none have met my expectations as much as Dr. Force's practice. The handling, treatment, and genuine concern for each individual patient is by far the best around. My pets and I have always been treated very professionally and courteously, and my cats react well to the environment, handling, and medical care at this facility. I have found Dr. Force to be an outstanding diagnostician, and any health problem my cats have had was readily resolved. I would highly recommend FRAH to anyone looking for excellent veterinary care at a reasonable cost...I have already shopped around, and will go no where else.

Dr.Force of Forked River Animal Hospital is a very compassionate and caring vet (not to mention highly qualified, as he is an Ivy league graduate) He went above and beyond in the care of my dog, including making his final days as comfortable as possible. I trust him with all of my pets and would happily recommend him for yours.

I have been going to Forked Ri...

I have been going to Forked River Animal Hospital since it opened for business and highly recommend Dr. Force to all my friends and family. He has been great with treating both my dogs especially my one dog who has seizures. He is on several medications, two for seizures, and I find Dr. Forces prices to be fantastic I would be charged double the price by any other veterinarian in the area. FRAH’s staff is always professional, pleasant and courteous.
