        This business is no longer serving seafood to go. They lost their building in Foley and are now only a bate and tackle shop.

        Horrible customer service. Placed take out order. Did not take credit cards and had no suggestions for a local ATM. But told me I needed to hurry because they were closing. Asked for butter but said they were out. However, offered to sell me a stick of butter for $1.60. And when I got home found no potatoes or corn. Tried to go back...but they were closed.

        Never been disappointed by the quality of seafood but their customer service and personality have a lot to be desired.

        Shameful way of doing business--lucky if they have not been reported to the BBB. We stopped by on our way to Gulf Shores to pick up a couple lbs of crab claws. I asked the young man behind the counter how much they were per pound and he said they were $19. I asked for 2 lbs. and the containers he brought out were very loosely packed and about 3/4 full. When I told him that they did not look like they were each a pound he responded, "that's the way they come to us." I had him put both containers on the scale and together they weighed .89---they weren't even half a pound each. I just looked at him and said, "I don't think so!" I left and went a little further up the road to Blalock's where I paid $19 per lb. and actually received a pound!

It was the Wallace's who founded the Lagoon fishing village in 1861 located just a few miles from the market. The Wallace's have been local area fishermen and shrimper for generations.
