LOVE LOVE LOVE this place

Aptly Named

Went around 7pm on Sat. night and waited about 10 mins for a table. Apps. were delicious (dan-dan noodles- an unexpected but savory flavor, eggplant in hot chili sauce, dumplings in hot oil) the pork in the dumplings stood out as being very juicy. Dinner portions were gigantic; we could've easily split one dish between us. Mildly Spicy Chicken was good but a little on the salty side. Lamb in chili sauce was spicy and... view more

Best Sichuan Food We've Had in America. Period.

My wife is from Chengdu, the capitol of Sichuan province. And she is a real foodie. Recently, we had a late nite dinner here and it was simply the best and most authentic Sichuan food we have had outside of Chengdu. The specific dishes we ordered and most highly recommend as being both the real deal and absolutely stunningly delicious are the following: hong you dumpling (spicy dumpling in red chili oil sauce), fu ch... view more

Most of the staff here are from Sichuan and the food is the way it should be -super spicy and tasty, just as the name says. The food is vastly better and cheaper than similar restaurants in Manhattan that claim to serve Sichuan-style food. Get the dan-dan noodles, dumplings in hot o... view more

A Flushing Gem

I've been to Spicy & Tasty a couple of times, and have been thoroughly impressed on both occasions. The food is much more delicate and flavorful than at your corner Chinese restaurant. The sesame noodles were sweet, light, and not syrupy like at other places. The shrimp with rice cakes was fresh and chewy, and the menu has plenty of special spicy dishes for the brave. I went with a very large group on a recent Saturd... view more

Fire up the gas burner

the real deal, and the name of the restaurant says it all...crowded on a Friday night, so we had to bop on over to the Sheraton for a cold one to kill a half-hour... interaction with waiter a bit tough given our lack of Chinese-speaking ability, but he guided us through a wonderful evening...the cold noodles rock, and the shrimp and beef cooked in the boiling flavor-pot in front of us was scrumptious... a fondue-part... view more
